巻き取られる磁気テープに所定のテンションを掛けるテ
ンション手段と、磁気テープの表面に接近するが接触せ
ずに、しかも磁気テープが所要の曲率半径で折曲されて
移送される折曲部隅角の内側に配設されておって、磁気
テープに空気を吹き付けて異物を除去する空気の吹出部
材と、この空気の吹出部材に加圧空気を供給する空気源
と、この空気源の吸入側に接続されておって、空気源に
吸入される空気を濾過する空気フィルタとを備えており
、空気フィルタを通って空気源に吸入された空気が、吹
出部材から磁気テープ表面に吹き出されて磁気テープ表
面の異物が除去されるように構成された磁気テープの付
着物除去装置であって、磁気テープの張力センサと、吹
出部材の空気吹出量を制御する吹出制御部材とを備えて
おり、張力センサが磁気テープの張力を検出し、磁気テ
ープの張力が高いときに、吹出部材が多量の空気を噴射
し、磁気テープの張力が低いとき、吹出部材の空気噴射
量が減少されるように、張力センサでもって吹出制御部
材が吹出部材の空気吹出量を制御するように構成されて
いる磁気テープの付着物除去装置。
