Generally, in this type of vehicle, an air conditioner is provided on each of the upper and lower floors to air-condition the upper and lower floors independently. (For each air conditioner, see Utility Model Publication No. 51-35814, for example.) Therefore,
The capacity of the air conditioning equipment installed on the upper and lower floors must be set depending on the size of the vehicle interior, the number of seats, the number of passengers, and other heat loads, and the air conditioning conditions on the upper and lower floors may be unbalanced. For example, when it comes to air conditioning, the lower floor gets colder than the upper floor, so the air conditioner on the lower floor is used at half its capacity, while the air conditioner on the upper floor is used at half its capacity. As a result, it has become difficult to provide balanced air conditioning to the upper and lower floors.

Therefore, this idea allows air conditioning to be performed evenly on the upper and lower floors, prevents imbalances in room temperature such as overcooling or overheating on either the upper or lower floors, and does not overload the air conditioning equipment. An object of the present invention is to provide an air conditioner for a vehicle that can be operated without any problem, prevents overload of the air conditioner and wasteful consumption of drive energy, and improves durability.

In the figure, reference numeral 1 indicates a double-decker bus, and air ducts 4 and 5 are arranged along the ceiling surface on the upper floor 2 and lower floor 3, respectively. Each of the blow-off ducts 4 and 5 is appropriately provided with blow-off ports 41 and 51 with louvers, through which the conditioned air is blown out into the vehicle interiors of the upper floor 2 and lower floor 3 as shown by the arrows. An air conditioner 6 is provided in the blow-off duct 5 on the lower floor 3 side, and a suction port 61 of this air conditioner 6 is connected to the upper floor 2.
The air conditioner 6 is directly connected to the air outlet duct 5 (not shown), and the air sucked from the air inlet 61 is directly connected to the air conditioner 6. 6, flows into the blow-off duct 5, and is blown out from the blow-off port 51 into the room on the lower floor 3.

The indoor air on the lower floor 3 is connected to the blow-off duct 4 on the upper floor 2 via a circulation duct 7, and an air conditioner 8 is interposed between the circulation ducts 7, and the indoor air on the lower floor 3 is circulated. The air is sucked in through the suction port 71 of the duct 7, cooled by the air conditioner 8, and flows from the air outlet 72 of the circulation duct 7 into the air duct 4 on the upper floor 2. Note that the air conditioner 8 is appropriately installed on the lower floor or a part of the upper floor side.

Next, the function of the two air conditioners 6 and 8 will be explained. Indoor air on the upper floor is sucked into the air conditioner 6 that communicates with the blow-off duct 5 on the lower floor.
There, it is cooled and discharged into the room on the lower floor 3 through the outlet duct 5, and then passes through the air conditioner 8 from the inlet 71 of the circulation duct 7. After being cooled, it is discharged from the outlet 72 of the circulation duct 7 to the upper floor. 2 outlet duct 4
and is discharged into the room on the upper floor 2 through the blow-off duct 4, and is again circulated in the above-mentioned order. Therefore, even if the indoor temperature on the upper floor is high when air conditioning is first started, the lower floor will be cooled first.
After the cooled air cools the room on the lower floor, it is cooled again by other air conditioners and is discharged from the air duct on the upper floor to the upper floor, causing the indoor temperature on the upper floor to drop.
The room temperature on the upper and lower floors quickly averages out. By circulating the conditioned air in this way, the room temperature on the upper and lower floors is averaged, and in particular, the air conditioner that cools the air sent to the blow-off duct on the upper floor has air that has been cooled once. Since the air that has passed through the lower floor is sent to the air conditioner, the heat load on the air conditioner is reduced, the burden on the air conditioner is small, and the consumption of driving energy is reduced accordingly.

The same goes for the heating effect, where relatively warm indoor air from the upper floor flows to the lower floor, reducing the burden on the air conditioner that heats the lower floor and equalizing the room temperature on the upper and lower floors. Can be done.

As described above, according to this invention, the room temperature on the upper and lower floors is averaged by the circulation of conditioned air, and the burden on the air conditioner installed in the circulation flow path is reduced. This prevents wear and tear on the air conditioner,
It is possible to improve the durability of equipment and to save energy.
