バーの動作ストロークを可変にしないと幅寄せが
不十分であつたり、媒体を傷めるなどの問題があ
つた。そこで最近特願昭55−55902号に開示され
ているように高摩擦材料から成る接触子を上から
媒体に押し当てた後この接触子を幅寄せ方向に移
動させる媒体幅寄せ機構が提案された。この媒体
幅寄せ機構は幅寄せ動作時に媒体へ接近する方向
に回転駆動されるレバーの媒体上へ延びた一端に
前記接触子を有するアームを回転可能に支持し、
このアームと前記レバーとの間にスプリングを張
架して該接触子が媒体と接触した後基準端方向へ
