As shown in Fig. 1, the conventional bagged cord applied to hanging lighting equipment is formed by fastening the intervening yarn at the lower end of the cord P to form the brim portion 1. The main body of the lamp socket 2 and the socket fitting 3 are clamped and mechanically connected using screws 4, and the electric wire inside the cord P is electrically connected to a socket terminal (not shown). 5 is a shade fixture, and 6 is an incandescent lamp.

However, with this cord connecting device, the clamping work involved in fastener processing and device assembly is troublesome and causes high costs, and the mechanical connection and electrical connection for removing tension on the cord are made separately. The disadvantages are that the number of assembly steps increases and the space occupied by the connection increases.

It is therefore an object of this invention to provide a cord connecting device which can be easily assembled.

A second lighting fixture to which an embodiment of this invention is applied
This is shown in Figures 6 to 6. That is, the cord 7 of this lighting fixture has an insulator 8 shaped like a substantially square square formed at the same time at the end, and the intermediate portions of the electric wires 7a, 7b of the cord 7 are exposed in the recesses 8a, 8b on both sides. This insulator 8 is fitted into the upper ends of the two-piece socket bodies 9a and 9b, and the cord 7 is pulled out through the insertion hole 10 (FIGS. 3 and 4). At the same time, as shown in FIG.
1 and the rear end of the electrode contact spring 12 are bent into a hat shape, and press-fit slits 13 are formed on the side edges of both sides.
, and the rear ends of the springs 11 and 12 are formed into recesses 8a,
At the same time, the electric wires 7a and 7b are press-fitted into the slit 13 and connected as shown in FIGS. 5 and 6. Furthermore, when the bodies 9a and 9b are fitted together and integrated with the connecting screw 14, the assembly is completed. 15 is a lamp screw groove.

With this structure, the tension can be reliably removed by the insulator 8, and the cord also serves as a wire connection part, so the overall size can be made compact. In addition, assembly and wiring are performed at the same time, which improves work efficiency and reduces the number of man-hours, so costs can be reduced. Further, since both ends of the exposed electric wires 7a and 7b are supported by the insulator 8, the electric wires are not easily deformed during pressure welding, and the connection work is extremely easy.

may be single instead of double as shown in FIGS. 7 and 8. Further, the wire exposed portion of the insulator 8 may be molded into a thin film.

As mentioned above, the cord connecting device of this invention is
A cord in which an insulator is simultaneously molded on the end portion of a pair of electric wires pulled out from the end portion and buried so that the middle portion thereof is exposed; and a body that houses the insulator and has an insertion hole through which the cord is passed. , and a press-contact terminal disposed inside the body to which the electric wire with the exposed insulator is press-contacted, provides the following effects. In other words, the insulator acts as a tension stopper for the cord, and since the middle part of the wire is exposed from the insulator, by pressing the insulator against the pressure contact terminal, the middle part of the wire can be press-fitted into the pressure contact terminal with one touch. Since electrical connections can be made at the same time as the body is attached to the body, the connection work is extremely simple, and space occupied by the connection is not required, allowing the body to be made smaller.
