Claims

[Scope of utility model registration request]

A cassette shell in which a tape reel on the supply side and a tape reel on the take-up side are housed and both upper and lower cassette noses are supplied, and a front lid that opens and closes a tape drawer opening on the front side of the cassette shell. A support shaft protruding inward from both left and right sides of the front cover is rotatably supported by the abutting portions of the upper and lower cassette halves, and an intermediate portion is externally supported by the support shaft. The tape is constantly pulled out by the elastic force of at least one torsion spring that is fitted and has one acting part in elastic contact with the inner surface of the cassette shell, and the other acting part is engaged with a pin protruding from the support shaft. In a tape cassette that is biased with rotational force in the direction of closing the opening, the other acting part of the torsion spring is formed in an oval shape, and the outer periphery of the support shaft on which the torsion spring is provided.
