[Detailed description of the invention] This invention relates to an improvement of a belt press. Conventionally, belt presses are well known, in which a pair of upper and lower cloths is freely runnable between a large number of arranged rolls, and the sludge sandwiched between these cloths is dewatered under pressure by the rolls. In this type of belt press, the sludge caught between the upper and lower cloths is
When pressurized by the rolls, water is separated, but once the pressure is removed after passing through the rolls, the separated water is absorbed by the fabric and cake. In particular, the moisture separated on the upper fabric side is carried over to the final stage and eventually absorbed into the cake. This invention proposes a belt press that can completely remove the separated water as described above and achieve higher dewatering.

Below, we will explain this idea in detail based on the drawing. As shown in the figure, the structure is as shown in the figure, a pair of upper and lower cloths are freely runnable around a group of rolls arranged in parallel, and between these upper and lower cloths. The trapped sludge
In the belt press configured to dehydrate under pressure using the rolls, the pair of cloths 1 and 2 are separated into upper and lower portions and run at the final stage of pressurization, and the separated lower cloth 2 is A roll 3 is provided which can directly pressurize the cake located at the top. Although only one roll 3 is used in the illustrated example, a plurality of rolls 3 may be used.
In addition, other pressurizing rolls 4... are also arranged in a staggered manner in the example shown, but even if these are placed facing each other,
Alternatively, the elements may be arranged facing each other, arranged in a staggered manner, or a combination of the two may be arranged. In addition, the number 5 in the figure
1 is a mud supply pipe, 6 is a mud receiving tank, 7 is a cloth driving motor, and 8 and 9 are drive rolls for the upper and lower cloths, respectively.

The device according to this invention is constructed as described above, and the sludge supplied to the sludge tank 6 is carried to the right in the figure by the running of the upper cloth 1, turned back at the right end, and then lowered. It is transferred onto the cloth 2 and is gradually dehydrated under pressure while being held between the upper and lower cloths 1 and 2. And pressure rolls 4 arranged in a staggered manner...
The cake was dehydrated into a cake by being subjected to a strong shearing action, and the upper fabric 1 was separated at the pressurizing roll 3 part at the end, and the released cake was directly pressurized by the roll 3 for further dehydration. Thereafter, it is discharged from the drive roll 9 portion to the outside of the machine. In this dehydration process, after the final stage of dehydration, the upper and lower cloths are separated and run, and the exposed cake on the lower cloth is directly pressurized by the roll 3. All the separated water is pushed downward and the upper cloth 1 is removed like the conventional one.
It can be completely separated without being carried around. In other words, in the past, it was difficult to completely separate the moisture separated in the final pressurization stage because it was absorbed into the upper cloth or cake, but with this invention, the moisture is pressurized from above by the roll 3. The separated water is not absorbed by this roll 3, and the water that was conventionally carried around at least by the upper cloth 1 can be completely separated and recovered, and the roll 3 is not absorbed by the cake. Since only the lower cloth 2 is pressurized, even if it is pressurized with a strong force, it does not interfere with the running of the cloth unlike the conventional method in which the upper and lower cloths 1 and 2 are pressurized together.
