い。しかしてこのように構成された竪樋を使う時
には中空筒体2を集水器4から吊り下げたり、あ
るいは樋体1の上端部より吊り下げたりして樋体
1内に中空筒体2を位置させたまま使用するので
あり、樋体1の内面と中空筒体2の外面との間を
雨水流路として雨水を流すのである。そしてこの
雨水流路内の雨水が凍結して膨張しても、この膨
張は中空筒体2が圧縮されて収縮することによつ
て吸収され、樋体1に影響を与えることなく、破
裂を防げるものである。また凍結した氷柱も中空
筒体2の外面の凸条3によつて中空筒体2の回り
に回転する力を受けて中空筒体2から容易に脱落

る力を受け、氷柱は樋体の内面及び中空筒体の外
面とから剥離しやすいと共にこの力で氷柱にひび
が入つたりして破砕されるものであつて、凍結し
