Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the thermal efficiency of an entire heat-fixing device, by forming a pressure roller paired with a heat roller by covering the surface fo a heat pipe with an elastic member high in thermal conductivity and positioning the pressure roller below the heat roller. CONSTITUTION:When power supply is turned on, a heater 1 lights and heats up a heat roller 2. During a fixing operation, the heat roller 2 and a pressure roller 3 are turned under a pressure-contacted condition and, when the rollers 2 and 3 rotate, a solvent 4 contained in the heat pipe 5 of the roller 3 thoroughly wets the inner wall of the heat pipe 5 and the heat pipe 5 sufficiently exerts its capability as a heat pipe. ーラの周辺部品の寿命を短命にしてしまうこと並びに定
着トナー像のオフセット等の問題点を解消しきれないと
いった欠点があった。

れによって前記ヒートローラ2の端部の周辺部品に悪影
替を及ぼすことを防止すると共に、該ヒートパイプ5内
に保持した熱エネルギーを、弾性部材6を介して用紙の
裏面の加熱に使用し、定着効率の向上に寄与させる。

の加熱に利用するようにしたものであるから定着装置自
体の熱効率をより向上させることができるといった効果
を有する。
