Abstract

PURPOSE:To restart a sequence program speedily after changing the program on the way of operation by forming a switching means for interrupting sequence control and an operation state holding means for an external apparatus at the time of the interruption. CONSTITUTION:The sequencer is constituted of a storage means 1 for storing a sequence program, a mode switching means 2, a control means 3 for controlling an external apparatus 4, and a switching means 5 and the control means 3 sequentially controls the external apparatus 4 when the mode switching means 2 is in the RUN mode, or controls the external apparatus so as to stop its operation when in the STOP mode. When the operator turns the switching means 5, the sequence control is interupted and the output part of an I/O part 30 is turned to the holding state. At the time of interruption, the working external apparatus is kept at its working state and the stopped external apparatus is kept at its stop state.

A sequencer according to the prior art includes a storage means storing a sequence program, a mode switching means for switching between a run mode and a stop mode, and a control means for controlling an external device based on the selection of the mode switching means. . Here, the above run mode means that the external device receives a signal.
This refers to a mode in which sequence control is executed by outputting , and the above-mentioned stop mode refers to a mode in which the operation of external equipment is stopped. In the conventional sequencer configured in this way, changing the sequence program is prohibited when in the run mode, that is, a mode for executing sequence control on external equipment, while changing the sequence program is allowed when in the stop mode. It is supposed to be done. Therefore, for example, if you want to change the sequence program after the control line has progressed from the initial state to a certain state, you must operate the mode switching means and change the mode to stop mode. There wasn't. - However, setting the stop mode as described above will stop the operation of all external devices, so if you are using an external device with a long start-up time, it may take a long time before the operation is ready to restart. This method has the disadvantage that it takes a long time, resulting in loss of time.

The present invention has been made in view of the above-mentioned drawbacks of the prior art.
By providing a switch means that controls the control means to interrupt the sequence control, and an operation state holding means that is driven by the switch means and holds the operation of the external device when the sequence control is interrupted, the sequence program can be executed. The present invention provides a sequencer that allows changes to be made and shortens the preparation time until restart.

In the figure, 1 is a storage means storing a sequence program;
Reference numeral 2 denotes mode switching means for switching between a run mode and a stop mode, and the mode switching means 2 is operated by an operator to selectively select one of the above modes. 3 is a control means for controlling the external device 4 based on the selection of the mode switching means 2, and the control means 3 sequentially controls the external device 4 when the mode switching means 2 is in the run mode; When the device 2 is in the stop mode, the operation of the external device 4' is stopped. Here, when the control means 3 is in a mode in which the external device 4 is sequentially controlled, that is, in a run mode, changing the sequence program is prohibited, and when in the stop mode, the operation of the external device 4 is stopped.

Further, reference numeral 5 denotes a switch means for controlling the control means 3, and the switch means 5 is adapted to interrupt the sequence control by the control means 3. The switch means 5 is operated by an operator.

Reference numeral 6 denotes an operating state holding means that is driven by the switch means 5 to control the external device 4, and the operating state holding means 6 controls the external device 4 when the sequence control is interrupted.
It is designed to maintain the same behavior. (This state is called pause mode) Therefore, the external devices 4 that are operating when the sequence control is interrupted continue to operate, and the external devices 4 that are stopped remain stopped.

In this case, since the external device 4 with a long start-up time is always in operation without stopping, this type of external device 4 is not stopped by the status maintenance hand $6 when the sequence control is interrupted as described above. The operating state is maintained. In addition,
In the figure, 7 is an indicator lamp that lights up when in run mode.
The light turns off when in stop mode or pause mode.

Thereafter, the operator operates the switch means 5 to cause the control means 3 to perform sequence control on the external equipment 4 based on a new sequence program. In this case, since the external device 4 having a long start-up time is kept in an operating state by the state holding means 6, the operation preparation time until restart is short. Next, when the mode switching means 2 is set to the stop mode, the external equipment 4 is controlled by the control means 3 to stop its operation (step S7).
