In shuttleless looms, the inserted weft yarns are cut on both sides of the woven fabric during weaving. Of these, the weft insertion side is cut before the next weft insertion, specifically at a predetermined time after reeding, and the surplus end on the opposite weft insertion side is usually cut after 2 to 3 picks.

Conventionally, a scissor-type cutter has generally been used as a weft cutting device in air-jet looms and the like. In this method, two cutting blades are crimped into scissor-like pins and pressed together, and the wefts are cut by opening and closing them in conjunction with a loom using a cam or the like.

However, the operating speed of recent looms has increased to over 500 rpm, and the scissor-type cutter can be rotated every minute.
If the tool was opened and closed 500 times, or 720,000 times in one day, the caulked portion of the two cutting blades would inevitably become loose or seize due to lack of oil after being used for a certain period of time. In addition, the cutting edge of the cutting blade may wear out and become dull, and this phenomenon becomes especially noticeable when cutting glass fibers, and the cutter may become unusable unless it is resharpened after about 40 to 50 hours. In order to overcome these drawbacks, the applicant has developed a device particularly suitable for glass fibers.
Using a cutting member without a cutting blade as the cutting member,
The weft threads brought to a predetermined position during or after the reed beating are engaged by a pair of weft thread guides.
A device has been proposed in which the weft is cut by the edge of the cutting member that cuts between a pair of weft guides in a direction perpendicular to the weft engaged with these guides (Japanese Patent Application No. 124,658/1989).

However, since the position where the weft thread is engaged with the pair of weft thread guides even after beating is set near the extension line of the woven fabric, the weft thread is formed into a hook shape to prevent it from coming off once the weft thread is brought to the extension line. Since the weft is locked in the locking portion, the weft yarn is held in a state that is returned to the reed side rather than on the extension line, and is held in a state that is slightly slacker than when the tension is at maximum. Moreover, for materials with low elongation such as glass fiber, the weft gripper is used twice.
In order to avoid yarn breakage due to the increase in tension caused by the lengthening of the weft path during the beating process, the gripping force is weakened during this process and the weft is pulled out from the yarn supplying body to alleviate the tension. As a result, slack in the locked state was facilitated, making it impossible to ensure sufficient tension in the weft yarns, and in rare cases, the weft yarns came off from the locking portions due to vibrations of the loom, etc. .
If the weft yarn comes off in this way, it cannot be cut by the cutting member, so there is a problem that the next weft insertion cannot be carried out on the weft insertion side.

In addition, even if the weft does not come off, if the weft is loosened and locked, it will be bent by the cutting member during cutting, increasing the tension and cutting later, which will lengthen the tuft length, albeit slightly. There is a problem.

In view of these problems, the first object of the present invention is to securely retain the weft thread in the weft thread guide, and for this purpose, a pull-out prevention body is disposed in parallel with the weft thread guide, and the weft thread is removed from the weft thread guide. This prevents the pull-out prevention body from coming off. Second, the purpose is to apply tension to the weft threads before cutting to prevent them from loosening, thereby further shortening the length of the tufts, and for this purpose, the cutting member engages the weft threads before cutting the weft threads. A tension applying member is provided to apply tension to the weft yarn and then cut it with a cutting member.

After the fluid is jetted from the weft insertion nozzle 2, when the weft thread gripper G releases the weft thread 3, the weft thread 3 is inserted into the opening of the warp thread 1 by the jetted fluid, and the gripper G releases the weft thread 3. After gripping the weft thread 3, the weft thread 3 pushed by the reed blade 4b and the side frame 4a is pushed by the reed blade 4b and the side frame 4a during the process of beating the inserted weft thread 3 by the advance of the reed 4. 11,1
2 along the inclined guide portions 11c and 12a,
Finally, it enters the locking recesses 11b and 12b and is locked, and while being guided by the edge 3a of the extraction prevention body 30, it reaches the edge 30b and the locking space 34
enter. Similarly, the side frame 4a and the guide rod 15
The weft yarn 3 between these, which is pushed by the weft yarn guide 14, moves along the inclined guide portion of the weft yarn guide 14, and finally enters the locking recess 14b and is locked. Therefore, even when the reed 4 is moved back after beating the reed, the weft yarn 3 remains locked in the locking recesses 11b, 12b, and 14b near the extension line 5a of the woven fabric 5. At the time of reed beating, the weft path length between the gripper G and the weave edge is lengthened, but the gripper G weakens the gripping force, so the weft 3 is completely pulled out from the yarn supplying body side by the gripper G, and the weft yarn 3 is pulled out by the gripper G from the locking recess 11b. 12b and 14b are slightly loose when locked, and in rare cases the weft guide 1
1, 12, 14, etc., the weft yarn 3 may move upward in an attempt to pull out from the locking recesses 11b, 12b, 14b, but at this time, it comes into contact with the edge 30b of the pull-out prevention body 30 and Since its movement is regulated, it cannot come off.

Thereafter, as the reed 4 moves backward, the plate-like body 19 moving between the pair of weft guides 11 and 12 approaches the locking recesses 11b and 12b, and at a predetermined time after the reed beating, the plate-like body 19 moves between the pair of weft guides 11 and 12. The edge on the 4th side is the locking recess 11b,
When the weft thread 3 is caught between the threads 12b and 12b, the weft thread 3 is cut.

Note that the pull-out prevention body 30 may be provided on the side of the weft guide 11 on the woven fabric 6 side, but in order to shorten the tuft length as much as possible, the pair of weft guides 11 and 12 are placed as close to the woven fabric 6 as possible. It is necessary to place it nearby, so
As in this example, it is desirable to provide it on the side of the weft guide 12 on the anti-woven fabric 6 side. In addition, the weft guides 11, 1
2 alone may not be able to sufficiently maintain the tension of the weft 3 during weft cutting. Therefore, another weft guide 14 is provided on the side of these pair of weft guides 11 and 12, and the locking recess 14b of this weft guide 14 is
Although the guide rod 15 for guiding the weft yarn 3 is provided, the weft yarn guide 14 and the guide rod 15 do not necessarily need to be provided. Further, instead of the locking recesses 11b and 12b, a stepped portion that is higher on the reed side may be formed.
