に添設するように前記被検管に装着され上記探触子支持
体の被検管に対する移動距離評鎗のための情報を記憶し
た第1の磁気テープ並びに前記探触子支持体でかつ上記
磁気テープと対向する位置に配置された第1の磁気セン
サて構成される周方向位置検出手段と、前記超音波探触
子の装着される車軸に設けられ前記超音波探触子の探触
子支持体に対する移動距離評定のための情報を記憶した
第2の磁気テープ並びにこの磁気テープと対向しかつ前
記超音波探触子と一体的に移動する第2の磁気センサて
構成される軸方向位置検出手段とを具備してなることを
