DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION Among the techniques for joining branch pipes in the middle of fluid transport pipes for tap water, gas, etc., the present invention is particularly applicable to the following techniques:1. Alternatively, this technique is suitable for integrally joining a branch pipe to a fluid transport pipe made of polyethylene resin, which cannot be carried out, by heat welding means. It is wound in a coil shape around the outer surface of the joint end of a thermoplastic resin branch pipe, and when the current is passed through the hole, the outer surface of the joint end and the inner surface of the hole are simultaneously heated and softened. This invention relates to a heating wire for welding and joining together.

The above-mentioned welding and joining means was previously proposed by the present applicants, and according to this, the joining end of the branch pipe is inserted into a hole formed in the fluid transport pipe, and both are connected in advance to the final stage. Since both joint surfaces can be heated simultaneously by applying electricity while temporarily held in the joining position, even if the same welding method is used, the outer surface of the joint end of the branch pipe and the inner surface of the hole or the outer circumferential surface of the pipe can be heated simultaneously. After heating the and with separate equipment and removing the heating equipment,
On both sides, there are fewer work steps compared to welding by pressure welding hot surfaces, and there is no need for sophisticated timing for heating and pressure welding, making it easy to obtain reliable and uniform welding force, making the desired welding more efficient. , which has the advantage of being stable. On the other hand, according to this kind of welding joining means, the heating wire is buried in the joining part, so in order to make the joining reliable and strong, and to obtain a good joining effect, it is necessary to ,
It is necessary to wind and maintain this in a securely fixed position so as not to shift the position at the joint end and to embed it within the thickness of the joint after welding and joining.

The present invention reliably fixes the position of the heating wire, which is required when implementing the welding and joining means having the various effects described above.

The heating wire for heating a branch pipe that is thermally welded to a fluid transport pipe according to the present invention is designed to have elastic properties such that its inner diameter is slightly smaller than the outer diameter of the branch pipe in a free state on the outer surface of the joint end of the branch pipe. It is characterized by being wound into a coil shape against force.

That is, by winding a heating wire with a diameter slightly smaller than the outer diameter of the joint end of the branch pipe in a free state into a coil shape against its elastic force, the heating wire is Not only can it be reliably fixed and held at a desired position, but also the elastic diameter reducing force can be utilized by applying electricity in advance to heat and soften the wound outer surface portion before inserting it into the hole of the fluid transport pipe. This heating wire is bitten into the outer surface of the branch pipe to ensure its fixed position, and the substantial outer diameter of the joint end of the branch pipe is adjusted to the outer diameter of the branch pipe joint end regardless of the winding of the heating wire. It can be made equal or approximately equal to the diameter. Therefore, there is no need to increase the inner diameter of the hole by the amount equivalent to the heating wire, and while the diameter of the hole is made as small as possible within a range that allows the joint end of the branch pipe to be inserted, the position of the coiled heating wire will not shift when it is inserted. Therefore, when electricity is applied in the inserted state, the necessary parts are reliably and quickly heated and softened, and a reliable and strong welding joint can be performed, and the heating wire can be embedded and positioned within the thickness of the joint part. As a result, we were able to obtain a bonding effect with a good finish.
