In recent years, with the systemization of furniture, an arrangement method in which multiple pieces of furniture are connected horizontally and integrated has been adopted. This tendency is particularly noticeable in kitchen furniture, where multiple pieces of furniture such as sinks and countertops are arranged horizontally in series, and the cabinets are connected to each other. A plurality of connected cabinets are integrally covered by a long top plate having a predetermined function such as a flat cooking surface. The use of such separate cabinets and a single top allows each function of the arranged furniture to be guaranteed by an independent cabinet, while the single top allows the top of the furniture to be flat and flat. This has the advantage that liquids such as water can be prevented from flowing into the gaps between the two horizontal surfaces and between the cabinets, thereby maintaining hygiene.

However, the use of such a long top plate is extremely inconvenient in manufacturing, inventory control, and transportation of the top plate, and the cabinet and top plate must be connected on-site. Since it is long, it is difficult to work with, and therefore the work is expensive and requires skill, and it has the drawback that it can only be applied to high-end products because it is made in one piece like a custom item.

This invention was devised to eliminate the drawbacks while retaining the advantages of the conventional ones.
A detailed description will be given below with reference to the drawings. Fig. 1 is an exploded perspective view of kitchen furniture to which this invention is applied, in which 1 is a rectangular box-shaped cabinet with an open top and front surface, consisting of a cabinet 1a for a cooking table and a cabinet 1b for a sink. Two independent cabinets are arranged side by side, and side walls 3a, 3b of adjacent cabinets are connected with bolts and nuts 4 to connect the two cabinets 1a, 1b in the lateral direction. Dowels 5 are planted on the upper surfaces of both side walls of both cabinets 1 to be used for connection with a top plate 10, which will be described later. The dowels 5 do not necessarily have to be formed on the adjacent side walls of both the cabinets 1a, 1b. Furthermore, it goes without saying that the dowel 5 may be replaced by a tongue handle or other suitable connecting means.

The top plate main bodies 11 and 12 have a base frame 11 in the shape of a rectangular frame.
flat plate-shaped substrates 11b, 12b are fixed to the upper surfaces of the base frames 11a, 12a, and decorative plates 11c, 12c are covered and fixed to the upper surfaces of the substrates. The base frame and the board are connected using wood screws 16 or L-shaped metal fittings 17 that are screwed in diagonally from below as shown in Figure 2.

In this way, since the top plate main body is composed of the base frame, the substrate on top of the base frame, and the decorative board, it is possible to connect a plurality of top plate main bodies to each other laterally by combining the base frames, and the height of the base frame can be reduced. By changing the height, the total height of the furniture can be arbitrarily and easily changed or adjusted.

The sealing means 15 is an elongated member having a T-shaped cross section and made of metal such as aluminum or synthetic resin, and has a length approximately corresponding to the depth of the top plate bodies 11 and 12. Then, the gasket 25 is interposed between the lower surface of the horizontal side of the sealing means 15 and the upper surface of the top plate bodies 11, 12, and the vertical side is inserted between the opposing sides of both the top plate bodies 11, 12, It is fixed to the side surface of one substrate 11b. Note that the sealing means 15 is of course not limited to the structure described above, and a long sealing material made of rubber or soft synthetic resin may be inserted into the gap between the two top plate bodies 11 and 12 to seal the gap. It may be something that stops you.

As explained above, according to the furniture top plate of this invention, the flange-like protrusions 19, 20 are fixedly provided on the front and rear end surfaces of the respective top plate bodies 11, 12, and the vertical holes 22 are provided in the flange-like protrusions 19, 20. The edge members 13 and 14 that are perforated vertically through the top plate and define the shape of the front edge or the rear edge of the top plate are the flange-like projections 19,
20, has a substantially U-shaped cross-sectional portion that can contain 20;
The edge members 13 and 14 and the flange-like projection 19 are connected by screw means 24 inserted into the vertical hole 22 from below.
20, the flange-like protrusion 1
9 and 20 are enclosed in the edge members 13 and 14 and are not exposed to the outside, giving a good appearance as a product. Also, since the screw means 24 is attached from below and is not exposed to the outside, the attachment of the edge members 13 and 14 is aesthetically pleasing. It can be done. Furthermore, the edge members 13 and 14 not only connect the top plate bodies 11 and 12, but also define the front edge or the rear edge of the top plate, and the shapes of the edge members 13 and 14 define the front edge of the top plate. It is possible to bulge upward to provide a draining effect, or to stand up upward to serve as a back guard, and by selecting and replacing the edge members 13 and 14, the top plate can be made to have a back guard. ,
Alternatively, it is possible to have a counter shape without a back guard, or to form a draining bulge on the front edge.
