Abstract

PURPOSE:To prepare easily a metal mold having a complicated surface shape, by flame-spraying a specified thickness of a metal having high hardness on the surface of a resin mold obtained by casting a surface resin contg. a metal powder on the recess surface of a female mold obtained from a metal original mold to prepare a metal surface coating, and by grinding the surface. CONSTITUTION:An original mold 1 which is the standard of the metal mold to be prepd. is placed on a machine platen 2. After the original mold 1 is surrounded by a frame 3, a female mold 4 is prepd. with a resin, plaster and so on inside of the frame 3. A mold lubricant is applied on the surface of the cavity 4 and a surface forming resin 6 contg. 10 to 2,000pts.wt. of a metal powder 5 such as cast iron powder, steel powder and special steel powder and so on per 100pts.wt. of a thermosetting resin is thereafter molded in the female mold 4 and a backup material 7 such as cast iron or aluminum and so on is then molded to prepare a resin mold 8. A part of the metal powder 5 in the surface layer of the surface forming resin 6 is exposed on the surface by cleaning up the surface of the surface forming resin 6 and a specified thickness of a flame-sprayed metal layer 9 is thereafter spray-coated by flame-spraying. A metal mold of good quality can be obtained by grinding the surface of the flame- sprayed metal layer 9 thereafter.

[Detailed Description of the Invention] [Industrial Application Field] The present invention is applicable to the production of press molds for molding metal plates, plastic molds for molding plastics, mold models for molding cast products, etc. j/%Metal is melted to a certain thickness on the surface of an inexpensive resin mold containing an appropriate amount of metal powder, and a highly hard gold 4 coating is integrally and firmly fused to the entire surface of the resin mold. This makes it possible to provide a mold that can withstand long-term use and is significantly cheaper than conventional metal molds.A method for manufacturing a mold in which metal is fused onto the surface of a resin mold, and a method for manufacturing the mold using the method. It is related to molds.

Conventionally, when manufacturing the above-mentioned press molds for metal plates, plastic molds for plastic molding, and mold models for molding cast products, the material of the mold is selected depending on the material to be molded and the frequency of use. For example, if relatively hardness is required and the material is used frequently, cast iron, ductile cast iron, cast steel, tool steel, etc. are selected according to their hardness.
Furthermore, when the number of resins used is small, thermosetting resins such as epoxy resins or polyurethane resins are often used.

However, when metal is used as a mold material as mentioned above, the mechanical work of cutting and polishing the surface of the mold material requires many years of skill and a large number of man-hours, especially when molds with complex shapes or long-term use. In order to obtain a mold that can withstand use, it is necessary to process a mold material with higher hardness, which requires more man-hours and costs more to produce the mold. When using resin as the mold material,
Since the cutting process is easy, the production cost is low, but on the other hand, it has the disadvantage that the required lifespan cannot be obtained because the mold surface is subject to significant wear and damage. Furthermore, when repairing defects that often occur at the corners of these molds, in the former case, the same metal mold as the mold is plated or overlaid by thermal spraying, etc. In the latter case, the same type of resin is cut to match the defect condition and then glued to form the overlay 12, and then these surfaces are cut and polished to restore the original state. Although this repair requires a considerable amount of time and effort, it also has the disadvantage that once it has been cut, the repaired portion is likely to be damaged again.

The present invention was created in view of the current situation such as steaming, and it aims to reduce the cost of manufacturing molds and make it easier to manufacture molds, which require greater manufacturing costs and skilled techniques than conventional ones. A surface resin containing metal powder is cast onto the concave surface of the female mold obtained. A metal with high hardness is melted to a certain thickness on the surface of the resulting resin mold to form a metal coating, and this surface is polished. By doing so, a high-quality mold can be obtained, and with this, it is possible to easily manufacture molds with complex shapes.

In the present invention, a resin mold is formed using a surface resin containing an appropriate amount of metal powder such as cast iron powder, copper powder, special steel powder, etc., and the surface of the resin mold is cleaned by sandblasting or shot blasting. Since metal spraying is performed after exposing a part of the metal powder contained in the surface, the surface resin layer and the metal spray layer are firmly welded together, and the metal spray layer does not peel off. Also, this metal spray layer can be sprayed with highly hard metal depending on the purpose of use of the mold, so it has a longer lifespan than conventional metal molds.Furthermore, the surface of the metal spray layer is porous. ,
In the case of a press mold that can be impregnated with oil, this surface has lubricity and has the advantage of good slippage and improved workability.

To explain one embodiment of the present invention, a surface resin contains metal powder such as cast iron powder, copper powder, special steel powder, etc. in a weight ratio of 10 to 2000 parts per 100 parts of a thermosetting resin. A mold is formed by casting or molding, and the surface is sprayed with a certain thickness of iron-based spraying material. 1) A female mold (4) is created by placing resin, plaster, etc. inside the frame (3), which is placed on the f surface plate (2) and surrounding the four circumferences of the current mold (1) with a frame (3). Then, a mold release agent is applied to the surface of this female mold (4), and a surface resin (5) containing metal powder (5) such as cast iron powder, copper powder, special steel powder, etc. in the above weight ratio is applied.
6) is cast into the female mold (4), and then a backup material (7) such as cast iron or aluminum is cast to prevent shrinkage of the resin and to strengthen it, forming a resin mold (8). After cleaning the surface of the surface resin (6) by sandblasting or shot blasting, remove the metal powder (5) from the surface layer of the surface resin (6).
After exposing a part of the mold, a metal spray layer (9) of a certain thickness is welded by metal spraying, and the surface of this metal spray layer (9) is further polished to obtain a mold of good quality. This is what we do.

In the present invention, metal is sprayed on the surface of the resin mold (8), and the metal powder (5) contained inside the resin and the metal spray layer (9) are firmly welded, and the surface of the resin mold (8) is Since a mold with a strong metal film can be obtained, it is possible to obtain a mold that is cheaper than conventional metal molds, and the metal spray layer (9) can also be sprayed with highly hard metals. Therefore, it has a longer lifespan than conventional metal molds, and the parts that make up this mold are composed of a backup material (7) such as cast iron or aluminum, a surface resin (6), and a metal spray layer (9). Because of this, it is extremely light in weight compared to metal molds, and is therefore easy to handle, making it extremely useful and has many uses. −
