従来の棺おけには、持ち運びに便利なように棺
おけ本体の相対向する側板に複数個の取手がそれ
ぞれ回動自在に取付けられている。しかしなが
ら、前記複数個の取手はそれぞれ単独に回動自在
に取付けられているので、棺おけの運び手は取手
の数の人員に限られる。また取手はそれぞれ運び
手が単独に回動させなければならなく、不便であ

在に取付けられている。支柱３０は取手２０の両
端部２１のそれぞれの両側面側に配設され、側板
１１を貫通して内側面より突出し、この突出部に
角穴３１が形成され、この角穴３１にクサビ４０
を押し込んで側板１１に固定されている。そし
て、前記支柱３０の側面に設けられた穴３２に取
手２０の両端部２１の両側面に設けたボス２２が
回動自在に挿入されている。従つて、取手２０は
ボス２２を中心として２点鎖線の如く回動させる
ことができる。なお、５０は飾板を示す。以上は
