For wooden stair treads, for example, the width is 15 mm, the length is 450 mm, and the depth is 1.5 to 2.0 mm at a position near the front end surface.
It is common practice to carve anti-slip grooves with a diameter of about mm. However, in the case of decorative stairs, that is, when the treads are made of a decorative board with a decorative veneer with a thickness of 0.3 to 0.6 mm adhered to the surface of the core board, the above-mentioned anti-slip grooves are cut into the treads. In practice, such a grooved process could not be performed because the core plate would be exposed at the bottom of the groove and would be extremely unsightly. In order to prevent this kind of exposure of the core board, for example, you can apply a filler made of the same material as the decorative veneer in advance to the part of the core material where the grooves will be made, or you can use a decorative veneer that is thicker than the depth of the grooves. However, these methods require a lot of time and effort to manufacture and are expensive, so none of them can be practically adopted. Because of these problems, the reality is that conventional stair treads made of decorative laminate have only been available without anti-slip grooves.

On the other hand, when making decorative grooves on the surface of architectural decorative boards such as furniture or wall panels, conventionally the decorative surface is depressed by press processing to form the required grooves. was. However, in this case, because large pressure is applied locally to the board, the board may deform and warp, or the internal structure of the board may be crushed and fractured, resulting in a decrease in strength.Furthermore, the natural restoring force may There were drawbacks such as the depth of the grooves changing over time, resulting in non-uniformity, making it impossible to obtain products of good quality.

In this invention, a predetermined groove is formed on the surface of a substrate, a decorative veneer is layered on the surface with an adhesive, and a portion of the decorative veneer is placed on top of the surface with an adhesive. A stair tread board characterized in that the decorative veneer is bonded and integrated with the substrate surface in a state in which the decorative veneer is partially recessed in the groove by overlapping and pressing plates that can be fitted. The gist of this paper is a method of manufacturing a grooved decorative board such as the above.

Examples of the above board include ordinary plywood,
Wooden board materials such as a lumber core, a laminated wood core board, a parallel laminated board, and a particle board can be suitably used, but board materials other than wood can also be used in relation to the purpose of decorative materials. Further, the substrate may be one in which the above-mentioned plate material is used as the core, and reinforcing thin plates such as lauan veneer are pasted in parallel or perpendicularly to both sides of the plate for reinforcement or crack prevention.

The groove formed on the surface of the substrate should be selected to have a shape, depth, and width that will allow the decorative veneer to easily follow it. It is also desirable that the bottom edge has no angular edges. The means for forming the grooves is usually formed by cutting the substrate surface, but if necessary, a thin plate such as lauan veneer with the required holes bored on the core plate is laminated and pasted. As a result, the hole portion may be formed into a groove.

The decorative veneer is usually made of precious wood such as oak, birch, zelkova, or pine and has a thickness of about 0.3 to 1.0 mm. In addition, it is particularly preferable to use a dry veneer as it has less influence on the substrate after bonding. If there is a risk that the decorative veneer may crack when bonded to the substrate, it is preferable to use a veneer with a backing material such as paper, nonwoven fabric, or synthetic resin film adhered to the back side of the veneer.

The plate has the function of pressing the decorative veneer evenly over the entire surface of the board and adhering it by pressing it with a press, and also pushing a part of it into the groove of the board and adhering it to the inner surface of the board. It is desirable to use a sheet-like material made of a resilient material such as natural or synthetic rubber, or synthetic resin sponge, since it has high versatility and can accommodate various shapes of grooves.
However, the present invention is not limited to this, and if necessary, a plate-shaped mold or other hard contact plate having a fitting protrusion corresponding to the groove shape of the substrate may be used. If a rubber plate is used, it is preferably 5 to 10 mm thick and 30 to 60 degrees hard. If it is too hard, it will not fit well into the grooves on the board surface when it is pressed, which may result in poor adhesion, and if it is too thick, it will be disadvantageous in terms of heat conduction when performing thermo-pressure bonding. .

Example 1 Figures 1 and 2 show the production of a stair tread. First, as shown in Figure 1, a layer of 2.0 mm in depth, for example, is placed at the center of the front edge of a substrate 1 made of a lumber core. A concave groove 2 having a substantially square cross section with a width of 15 mm and a length of 450 mm was carved, and then an adhesive was applied to the surface of this substrate 1, and then a decorative veneer 3 with a thickness of 0.6 mm was stacked. Further, a flat backing plate 4 made of a rubber sheet having a thickness of 7 mm and a hardness of 40 degrees was placed on top of this, and the laminate was pressed with presses 5 and 5 at a pressure of 7 to 8 kg/cm 2 . As a result of this pressing, a portion of the contact plate 4 was deformed and fitted into the groove 2 of the substrate 1, whereby the decorative veneer 3 was pushed into the groove 2 and bonded and integrated. As a result, the entire surface of the product stair tread was covered with the decorative veneer 3, and the front edge was provided with an anti-slip groove having a depth and shape corresponding to the groove 2.

Embodiment 2 In the example shown in FIG. 3, a reinforcing lauan veneer 11b with a thickness of 1 mm is placed on the back side of a core plate 11a made of a lumber core so that its fiber direction is aligned with the wood core plate 11a.
A predetermined long hole 12 is bored in the upper surface of the core plate 11a, which is bonded and integrated perpendicularly to the fiber direction of the core plate 11a.
A substrate 11 having grooves on the surface was fabricated by bonding a lauan veneer 11c of 5 mm in diameter with the fiber direction of the veneer perpendicular to the fiber direction of the wood core board 11a. Next, after applying adhesive to the upper surface of this substrate 11, a decorative veneer 13 with a thickness of 0.6 mm is stacked, and a backing plate is applied and pressed in the same manner as in Example 1, thereby forming the desired staircase. I got the deck. This step board is lauan veneer 11
Due to the reinforcing action of b and 11c, compared to the product of Example 1, it was possible to create a product of superior quality that is more consistent and free from the risk of the effects of cracks occurring on the core plate 11a appearing on the surface. .

As described above, when adhering a decorative veneer to a substrate, the decorative veneer is pressed into the groove formed in advance in the groove by pressing the decorative veneer into the groove. Since it is pressed and adhered as it is, the finished product is a grooved decorative board whose entire surface is covered with one continuous decorative veneer. Furthermore, compared to the conventional manufacturing process for ordinary decorative laminates, no particularly troublesome processes are added, so it can be carried out easily and efficiently, and has good mass productivity. In addition, since a thin decorative veneer can be used regardless of the depth of the groove, it can be manufactured at a low cost, and since no undue local pressure can be applied to the board, it is possible to produce excellent products with stable quality. can be provided. In particular, the advantage of being able to provide decorative stair treads with anti-slip grooves made of decorative laminate at a low cost, which has been considered difficult in the past, is truly remarkable.
