Abstract

PURPOSE:To acculately determine the distribution of a school of fish, by receiving the school-of-fish signal from a fish-finding part and the sailing position signal from a sailing position measuring part to simultaneously display the images corresponding to both signals on a picture. CONSTITUTION:The transmitting pulse signal formed in a transmitter 3 is sent into the sea through a transmitter-receiver 2 and the reflected wave thereof is received by the transmitter-receiver 2 to be sent to a receiver 4. The signal received by the receiver 4 is amplified and detected to be outputted as the signal corresponding to the state in the sea searched by a searching signal and said output signal is converted by an AD converter 5 to be stored in a display memory circuit 6. A navigation apparatus 8 measure the place where the own ship is present and outputs the measuring signal which is, in turn, stored in a display memory circuit 10 through a plotter part 9. In an image display part 11, a change-over device 12 is changed over by the change-over signal from a change-over signal generation circuit 13 and the signal from the circuit 6 and the signal from the circuit 10 are respectively displayed on the upper half and lower half of the picture of a picture display body 14. Therefore, a school of fish is accurately judged.

However, if you do this, you will have to look at a display screen showing the distribution of fish schools and another display screen showing the boat's navigational position, so if you are too focused on looking at one, you may neglect the other. There is also the problem that two devices must be provided, which takes up a lot of space.

The navigation section inputs the signal from the navigation device 8, converts the signal into a signal for displaying the navigation position on the screen display, and outputs it as a navigation position signal. 10 is a display memory circuit. Next, reference numeral 11 denotes a screen display section, which is comprised of a switch 12, a switching signal generating circuit 13, and a screen display 14.

Next, the operation of the above configuration will be explained. First, in the fish finder 1, as is well known, a transmitter 3 generates a pulse signal for transmission, and when it is sent to the transducer 2, the transducer 2 sends a sound wave signal of several tens to hundreds of KH2 into the sea. is sent out into the ocean as a detection signal. The transmitted signal hits the sea surface, a school of fish in the sea, the seabed, etc., and its reflected wave returns to the transducer 2 again. The returned signal is received by the transducer 2 and sent to the receiver 4. Then, the receiver 1t14 amplifies and detects the signal, and outputs a signal corresponding to the underwater situation detected by the detection signal. The output signal passes through the AD converter 5 and is converted into a signal suitable for display on the screen display section 11, and is stored in the display storage circuit 6. In this specification, the above signal is also referred to as a fish school signal.

On the other hand, the navigation device 8 measures the location of the own ship, as described above, and outputs a signal indicating the location. The signal passes through the block section 9, is converted into a signal suitable for display on the screen display section 11, and is stored in the display storage circuit 10.

In the screen display section 11, a switch 12 switches the signal from the display memory circuit 6 and the signal from the display memory circuit 10, respectively, on the screen of the screen display body 14 in response to a switching signal from the switching signal generation circuit 13. The output is output to the display 14 while being alternately switched at a very high speed so that it is displayed in mutually different locations, for example, the lower half and the upper half of the screen i4a as shown in FIG. This switching operation is a well-known technique in television technology). Therefore, as shown in FIG. 2, the screen 14a of the display 14 displays an image 15 showing the state of the ocean, that is, the sea surface, the distribution of fish schools 16, the seabed 17, etc., as well as an image similar to a track recording device generally called a block. One day on the screen, that is, the coastline 20, the location 21 of the own ship, the own ship's track 22, etc. are displayed.

As mentioned above, two images are displayed side by side on the display screen 14a: the image 15 showing the distribution of fish schools in the sea and the image 18 showing the navigation position of the own ship, etc., so that the two images can be viewed in comparison. It is possible to quickly make accurate decisions regarding fish catching work.

(Effects of the Invention) As described above, in the present invention, when you want to know the state of a school of fish in the sea, the fish school detection unit 1 detects the distribution of the school of fish in the sea, and then the output fish school signal is used to display the screen. The distribution of fish schools in the sea can be displayed on the screen 14a of the unit 11, and the distribution of fish schools in the sea can be easily known by looking at the screen.

Moreover, at the same time as the display image 15 of the distribution of fish schools, the display image 18 of the own ship's navigation position is displayed on the screen 14a based on the navigation position signal output from the navigation position measuring section 7, so that both of these images can be displayed. It has the advantage of being able to compare and view the distribution of fish schools and the location of your own boat, allowing you to accurately and quickly make judgments about fish catching operations by comparing these two factors.

Furthermore, even though it is possible to see both the school of fish and the navigation position as described above, since there is only one screen display section 11, the screen display section can be easily installed even in the narrow brief of a small boat. There are advantages that can be achieved.
