Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the number of component parts and manufacturing processes and to eliminate the variance of the panel accuracy, by providing the light shielding bodies at the places near the light emitting or photodetecting chips arrayed on a substrate together with a long lens body set continuously with the prescribed spaces secured to said chips. CONSTITUTION:The light emitting or photodetecting element chips 13 are arrayed and bonded with fixed spaces in the lengthwise direction onto a printed board 12 serving as the base of an array 11 of a photoelectric touch panel. The light shielding bodies 14 having the prescribed height H are provided in a body with the board 12 at the places of the chips 13. In addition, a long acrylic resin lens body 15 having a semicircular section is set with a prescribed space secured to those chips 13. A projection 15a for junction formed on the bottom surface of the lens body 15 is set between bodies 14. Thus it is possible to reduce the number of components and manufacturing processes and to eliminate the variance of accuracy of a photoelectric touch panel.

Furthermore, 15 in the figure is a lens body made of acrylic resin and made of a long material with a semicircular cross section. This lens body 15 has a fitting protrusion 15a formed on its bottom surface, and the protrusion 15a
is fitted and held between the aforementioned light shields 14, and the lens body 15 is spaced apart from the material chip 13 by the height H of the light shield 14. That is, the light shielding body 14 serves as a spacer between the material chip 13 and the lens body 15.

The array according to the present invention is constructed as described above, and its manufacture eliminates the need for the manufacturing process of optical elements such as LEDs, eliminates the need for mounting processing, and reduces the number of parts compared to conventional resin. The presence of a constrictor (covering body), which was done with taping or taping, is no longer necessary. still,
As long as the lens body 15 is a continuous body and can be incorporated into the light shielding bodies 14 with a single touch, its form is of course not limited to the embodiment.
