Problems to be Solved by the Invention Several type storage cases, in which each type of type having different numbers or fonts, etc. are accommodated in a predetermined arrangement, are mounted in parallel on a frame provided on a machine base, and as needed. A carrier for mounting a type storage case mounted on the machine base such that the type storage case can be moved to a position opposite to the position of the type storage case containing the required type, and moved to the frame base. After the type storage case is transported and placed on the carrier, the type storage case is placed on the carrier so as to be suitable for printing. In addition to being able to temporarily fix the type storage case, when it is necessary to replace the type storage case with another type storage case, the type storage case can be moved to a vacant position on the frame with the fixed carrier and the transport table. After moving the type storage case to the opposite position, the type storage case is unfastened from the carrier, and then the type storage case is transported to the empty seat on the frame table by the conveyance platform, returned and placed on the shelf, and immediately after that, the type storage case is transferred with the carrier. The present invention provides a method for replacing a type accommodating case for a Japanese typewriter, in which another type accommodating case is mounted and fixed on a carrier by means of a stand.
