Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable a character or image information written on an original to be copied to a desired recording medium with simple construction as well as easy manner, by a method wherein a thermal sheet containing a thermal coupler is used for a positive original plate and an ink sheet is provided with a light-reflecting film layer on a surface thereof and a thermal ink layer on the other surface thereof. CONSTITUTION:An ink sheet 7 consists of an aluminum deposited film layer 4, a transparent material 5 such as PET and a heat-fusing ink layer 6. A thermal sheet 2 on which the image corresponding to that on an original 3 is colored and formed and the heat-fusing ink layer 6 in the ink sheet 7 are respectively made in close contact to the aluminum deposited film layer 4 in the ink sheet 7 and a recording medium 8 as well as irradiated from the thermal sheet side, with the result that the light penetrating the other are than the coloring portion 2a in the thermal sheet 2 is reflected by the aluminum deposited film layer 4. On the other hand, the coloring portion 2a in the thermal sheet 2 absorbs the light reaching thereto, thereby partly heating due to light-heat conversion. Accordingly, only the ink in the heat-fusing ink layer 6 corresponding to the coloring portion 2a in the thermal sheet 2 is heated and fused to be transferred to the recording medium 8.

2. Description of the Related Art In recent years, there has been an increasing need to copy text and image information written on paper such as documents, newspapers, and magazines, or to transcribe them onto other recording media. In particular, it is often necessary to transcribe information locally due to the hassle of carrying expensive books and magazines.
In addition, the need to transcribe not only onto ordinary copy paper but also into a portion of a notebook or a portion of a manuscript created using a word processor or the like is rapidly increasing.

The reflective original plate 9, ink sheet 7, and recording medium 8 are brought into close contact with each other, and the light source 1 is turned on from the side of the reflective original plate. The light emitted from the light source 1 is reflected in areas other than the transparent image area 9& of the reflective master e and is transmitted only through the transparent image area 9a. The light that has passed through the transparent image area 91L further passes through the transparent sheet 6 and reaches the heat-sensitive ink layer 6. The portion of the heat-sensitive ink layer 6 that is exposed to light generates heat locally due to light-thermal conversion.
Since it is melted and transferred to the recording medium 8, the character/image information on the reflective original plate 9 is copied onto the recording medium 8.

Means for Solving the Problems In order to solve the above-mentioned problems, the thermal copying method of the present invention first brings a heat-sensitive sheet containing a heat-sensitive coloring agent into direct contact with the paper surface of the manuscript to be transcribed, and then presses the heat-sensitive sheet from the side of the heat-sensitive sheet. By irradiating it with light, the heat-sensitive sheet is locally colored to create a positive original plate. Next, the ink sheet and the heat-sensitive sheet are stacked and brought into close contact with each other in order on a recording body, and the ink in the heat-sensitive ink layer is transferred to a predetermined recording body by irradiating light again from the side of the heat-sensitive sheet. According to the above-described method, the present invention first generates heat locally through light-to-heat conversion mainly in the black areas on the surface of the manuscript which tend to absorb light, and by the heat generated, an image corresponding to the manuscript is formed on the heat-sensitive sheet. Color is formed and a positive original plate is combed. Next, the coloring part of the heat-sensitive sheet is heated by heat-light conversion, and this heat heats the ink in the heat-sensitive ink layer corresponding to the coloring part and transferred to the recording medium. By doing so, copying can be easily performed.

First, in FIG. 1, when a heat-sensitive sheet 2 and an original 3 are brought into close contact with each other and light is applied from a light source 1, the light is reflected from the white portion of the original, so that the heat-sensitive sheet 2 does not develop color. On the other hand, the black portion 3 & of the original absorbs light and locally generates heat due to light-thermal conversion, so the heat-sensitive sheet 2 absorbs light. Only the portion 2IL corresponding to L is colored. Therefore, an image corresponding to the original document 3 is formed on the heat-sensitive sheet 2 in color.

Next, as shown in FIG. 2, the heat-sensitive sheet 2 on which the image corresponding to the original 3 has been formed is brought into close contact with the aluminum vapor-deposited film layer 4 of the ink sheet 7, and the heat-melting ink layer 6 of the ink sheet is brought into close contact with the recording medium 8. At the same time, when light is applied from the heat-sensitive sheet side, the light that has passed through areas other than the coloring portions 2a of the heat-sensitive sheet 20 is reflected by the aluminum vapor-deposited film layer 4. On the other hand, the light that reaches the color developing portion 21L of the heat-sensitive sheet 2 is absorbed, and the heat-sensitive sheet 20
Since the colored portion 2a locally generates heat due to light-heat conversion, the ink of the heat-melting ink layer 6 is applied to the colored portion 2! of the heat-sensitive sheet 2. Since only the portion corresponding to L is heated and melted and transferred to the recording medium 8, the character/image information of the original 3 is copied onto the recording medium 8.In the above embodiment, 4 is aluminum. Although it was a vapor deposited film layer,
The present invention is not limited to this, and any reflective film layer that reflects light may be used. Furthermore, it goes without saying that a heat-sublimable ink layer may be used instead of the heat-melting ink layer 60.

Effects of the Invention As described above, the present invention uses a heat-sensitive sheet containing a heat-sensitive coloring agent as a positive original plate, and provides a reflective film layer that reflects light on one side of the ink sheet and a heat-sensitive ink layer on the other side. This allows text and image information written on a document to be easily copied to a desired recording medium with a simple configuration, regardless of the type of document, such as documents, newspapers, magazines, etc., as well as documents that transmit light. be able to.
