Abstract

PURPOSE:To produce sound as soon as an indication is issued for start of a play by providing a control part where data are recorded to and read out of a memory and a drive part which drives an optical pickup according to the arithmetic result obtained at said control part. CONSTITUTION:A control part 15 calculates the number of frames included in a round of a disk at a play starting point indicated by the subcode data obtained from a signal demodulation part 12 before the start of the play is indicated. Then reproduced data are written on a memory 13 for the frames calculated by the part 15. When the data equivalent to the number of counted frames are written, the frame is reset while jumping by a single track. Then data are written again on the memory 13 at the indicated play starting point. These data are read out at and after the play starting point when a play starting indication is issued and sent to an analog conversion part 14. An optical pickup part 11 continues the reproduction with an indication for start of the play and writes the reproduced data with the memory 13 defined as a ring memory. Thus the sound can be delivered as soon as the start of the play is indicated.
