部ツバ部に、該ツバ部内形より大なる外形を有す
るカバーガラスを下方より装着し、該カバーガラ
ス外周部の下にゴムパツキンを配置し、裏ぶたと
一体構成された内胴をバネ喰付等により外胴に係
合させることにより、内胴の外周立上り部の上端
とカバーガラス外周部を介して外胴ツバ部との間
で前記ゴムパツキンを押圧し時計ケースを構成す
るものであつた。しかしながら、前者の場合には
カバーガラスを上方から装着する為にパツキンボ
ツクスを構成する外胴上面のツバ部の内形はカバ
ーガラス外形よりは大きくなくてはならず、組込
み後パツキンが見えてしまい、かつパツキンボツ
クスを構成する為の溝加工も難かしくコスト高と
なつていた。かつ裏ぶたの係合部についても、係
合タイプにより、ねじ加工あるいは喰付突起加工
が必要であつた。また組立、分解の際もガラス
部、裏ぶた部と別々に行なわなくてはならなかつ
た。また、後者の場合にはカバーガラスの形状が
複雑であり、かつ前者と同様に内胴の喰付部の加
工が必要であつた。
