[Prior Art] This type of conventional infusion/blood transfusion set (a) consists of an introduction needle (d) that is inserted into the rubber stopper (c) of an infusion/blood bottle (b), and an infusion tube for the infusion, as shown in Figure 4. Connect the transparent vinyl drip tube (E) and the intravenous needle (H) to be inserted into the human body with a large diameter tube (G) and a small diameter tube (C), respectively, and then connect the IV tube (E) and the IV needle (H). A small-diameter tube (h) is inserted between the tube (h) with a clamp (h) to vary and stop the flow rate. Insert the introduction needle (D) into the rubber stopper (C) of (B), and insert the ventilation needle (W) into the ventilation tube (R) installed in the rubber stopper (C). ) to communicate with the atmosphere, hold the side of the IV tube (E) with your fingers and compress and release it several times to expel the air inside the IV tube (E) to the infusion/blood bottle (B) side to release the infusion/blood bottle (B). After collecting about half of the blood, loosen the clamp to allow the infusion and blood to reach the tip of the intravenous needle, then tighten the clamp again and insert the intravenous needle into the human body. ) and gradually loosen the clamp again to adjust the drip flow rate.

The infusion/blood transfusion set (A) shown in Figure 4 is for children, and the one for adults differs in that it does not have a drip tube (power), and is a different type of infusion/blood transfusion set (A). As shown in Figure 5, the drip tube (ho') has two upper and lower chambers a and b.
The upper chamber (a) is equipped with a filter material (Y) that captures incoming infusion fluid and minute foreign matter in the blood, and the lower chamber (A) has a structure similar to that of the drip tube (E) shown in Figure 4. There are some that are. In the specification of the present invention, these items will be collectively treated as an infusion/blood transfusion set (a).

By the way, this infusion/blood transfusion set (a) has a structure that allows for infusion/blood transfusion.
When the blood bottle (b) is empty, air will get into the small diameter tube (c) below the drip tube (e). At this time, if the pressure in the vein is higher than atmospheric pressure, air will not enter the body, but when replacing it with a new infusion/blood bottle (b), the intravenous needle (f) must be inserted at the connection point (e).
Remove the small diameter tube (J) from the
After expelling the air that has entered, connect the intravenous needle (H) and the small diameter tube (H) again. It is possible to expel the air by removing the needle, but this would require the patient to be repeatedly punctured with the intravenous needle, causing unnecessary pain.
During this period, the intravenous needle placed in the human body often bleeds, staining the sheets and the hands of the medical staff. If you have this, there is a risk of infection to healthcare workers.

On the other hand, if the pressure in the vein in which the intravenous needle is placed is lower than atmospheric pressure, for example due to excessive bleeding or dehydration, a more serious problem will occur. In other words, if an infusion or blood bottle is left empty, air can enter the body, causing shock or even death in severe cases. In particular, when performing an emergency blood transfusion, pressure is applied to the blood bottle, which quickly empties the blood bottle, causing a large amount of air to rapidly enter the body, which is extremely dangerous.

By the way, patients who need to replenish nutrition and body fluids must change their infusion bottles once every hour, and patients who require blood transfusions must change their infusion bottles once every two hours if they use a 500CC blood bottle. You have to replace them one by one.

Therefore, when using a conventional infusion/blood transfusion set (a), always monitor whether the infusion/blood bottle (b) is about to become empty, and be sure to replace the infusion/blood bottle (b) with a new one before it becomes empty. It has many inconveniences, such as the need to replace it with a new one, and care must be taken not to come into contact with the patient's blood when replacing it.

[Function] Since the method of the present invention is configured as described above, the float valves 4, 8.9 receive buoyancy when fluid is being supplied from the infusion/blood ring as shown by the imaginary line in FIG. floats to the upper surface of the liquid, and the outflow port 3 is opened to continue dripping, but the infusion
As the blood ring empties and the fluid supply disappears, and the fluid in the drip tube 1 decreases, the float valve 4.8.9 also lowers, and in the case of the infusion/blood transfusion set A with an automatic drip stopper, the float valve 4.
In the case of B and C, the float valves 8 and 9 ride on the upper end of the mouth rim 3' to close the outlet 3. Therefore, even if monitoring is neglected and the infusion/blood ring remains empty, air will not enter the narrow tube 6 below the outflow port 3, so air cannot be pumped into the patient's body as described above. This will avoid the situation where it gets lost. At the same time, when replacing with a new infusion/blood ring, since air cannot enter the small diameter tube 6, the work of removing the connection between the intravenous needle (H) and the small diameter tube (H) as in the past is necessary to expel the air. is no longer necessary, and the introduction needle (d) can simply be inserted into the new infusion/blood ring, and by repeatedly compressing and releasing the infusion tube 1, the infusion tube 1 can be removed from the replaced infusion/blood ring. When the liquid is supplied, the float valves 4, 8, 9 float to the top of the liquid again, and the outlet 3 is opened and dripping is performed. In other words, since the patient's blood does not leak out, there is no need to worry about staining the sheets or infecting the medical staff.

[Effects] As described above, the infusion/blood transfusion set with an automatic drip stopper of the present invention can prevent the risk of air inadvertently or unwillingly entering the patient's body, and can also prevent the use of small-diameter tubes during infusion/blood ring exchange. Since there is no need to expel air from the patient's blood, there is no need to worry about staining the sheets or infecting the patient's blood, and the simple structure of installing a float valve inside the drip tube makes it easy to use. It is not troublesome or expensive to manufacture, and since there is no need to always have a supervisor on hand, it is ideal for chronic manpower shortages such as medical practitioners, making intravenous drip work safer, faster, and labor-saving.
It has excellent practicality and usefulness, achieving significant labor savings and hygiene, and can be widely used in the medical industry.
