Abstract

PURPOSE:To set up automatically a communication speed at practical use by transmitting a connection checking character string to a communication control processor, increasing the communication speed gradually until a response for the check of the character string is returned or no response status is continued for a required period, and executing communication at the communication speed in the no response status. CONSTITUTION:The communication control processor 2 waits a response from a terminal equipment group 4 after the transmission of the checking character string. The response from the terminal equipment group 4 is detected by a receiving part 25. The receiving part 25 receives the existence of the reception of the character string from the terminal equipment group 4 and the existence of an attention signal to increase the speed within 30sec which is sent from the terminal equipment group 4. If the character string is received and the attention signal is not received, a control part 22 fixes the current operating speed and executes the communication processing at the fixed slowest speed. When the character string is not received and the attention signal is received, the control part 22 detects whether the operating speed is the highest speed or not, and if not the highest speed, selects the succeeding high communication speed and repeats the same processing.

When using this communication line, the speed of data communication determines the efficiency of data exchange. Conventionally, this communication speed is determined when creating a communication line system, and this communication speed is fixedly used. For example, the communication speed based on TTY standards is 100 baud, 200 baud, 300 baud, 1
There are 200 baud, and one of these communication speeds is used. This speed is determined by the communication line, and a terminal device that matches the speed 63 is used.

However, many of the terminal devices used in communication line systems are designed to be able to be used at each speed in order to increase the effectiveness of mass production in manufacturing, and the terminal board is set to one of the speeds. There is.

Therefore, when there are an unspecified number of users, it is difficult to set a speed that satisfies them, and even if the settings can be made, the 100 baud line cannot be used due to problems, but the 200 baud line cannot be used. If the line is free, even if you want to communicate at 200 baud, only an expert can set up the terminal board.
The drawback was that it reduced the operational efficiency of the communication line system.

(d) Structure of the Invention The above object is to provide a communication control processing device in a communication line system consisting of a data processing device, a communication control processing device, and a terminal device with a function of communicating with the terminal device at a plurality of communication speeds; It has a function of sending a connection confirmation character string and a function of changing the communication speed and transmitting it according to the response of the terminal device, and increases the communication speed sequentially until the communication control device responds to receive the character string or there is no response for the required time. This is achieved by the communication speed setting method according to the present invention, which transmits a connection confirmation character string while communicating, and performs communication at a communication speed at which the character string reception response or no response occurs for the required time.

That is, the communication control processing device is made to transmit a connection confirmation character string, and the communication speed is sequentially increased until the terminal device responds to the string confirmation or becomes unresponsive for the required time, and communication is performed at the communication speed at which the above state is achieved. . Therefore, the communication speed during actual operation will be automatically set.

The receiving unit 25 detects the presence or absence of a character string received from the terminal device W4 (7) and the presence or absence of a special response (attention signal) from the terminal device group 4 indicating that the speed should be increased within, for example, 30 seconds (8).

If the character string reception is "present" and the attention signal is "absent", the control unit 22 fixes the speed at the current operating speed (if it is the first, the initial position) (9). Communication processing (1o) is performed at a fixed minimum speed. It goes without saying that the above-described character string transmission (3) at the defined communication speed also performs the communication process (1o).

If the character string reception is "no" and the attention signal is "yes,"
It is detected as soon as the final position (maximum speed) is reached (Il), and if it is not the maximum speed, the control unit 22 selects the next higher communication speed (12) and repeats the same process as described above. Recognizing this, the next step is to similarly rT at a speed of 200 baud.

rTTY J is then transmitted at a rate of 300 baud,
This is correct and the rTTY J and terminal device receive it. Since the operator is rTTY J, he does not press the attention key from now on. Therefore, the timer times up and the transmission preparation state is reached. Here the speed is fixed, 300

Therefore, the line speed suitable for the terminal device is set each time communication is started. Of course, even if the operator makes a mistake and presses the Attention key even though the reception was correct, the operation will proceed from the highest speed and then start over again from a low speed. You don't have to press the button.

Furthermore, according to the present invention, even if the terminal side changes its reception speed without permission, the center side can follow the change. If you want to use a line with a different speed, or if you want to temporarily change the line speed for a test, etc., you can simply change the terminal device side and no changes are required at the center side. It has the advantage of being easy to perform.
