Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable a paper to be taken out when paper jamming is generated in a main body of a printer, by a construction wherein a guide plate on the carrier side of a pair of guide plates is split into a plurality of guide plates so that the split guide plates can be independently opened and closed. CONSTITUTION:A paper-supplying roller 59 makes contact with a paper placed in a paper cassette 12, the papers 23 are fed out sequentially from the upper one and by one sheet at a time, are guided by a pair of guide plates 33, 34, and are fed to a platen 20. On a paper jam, a front cover of a printer casing is opened, the left split guide plate 36 is opened when the carrier 25 is located at a right position, and the right split guide plate 37 is opened when the carrier 25 is located at a left position. Then, the jammed paper 23 is taken out. After removing the jammed paper 23, the opened guide plate is again closed, and printing is started.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION Visited by Ni Jli In this invention, for example, a device main body is placed on an automatic paper feeder, paper is fed from below the device main body, and the paper is guided between a pair of opposing guide plates to feed a platen. It can be applied to printing devices such as digital, wire dot, thermal, and thermal transfer printers, or plotters, which sequentially print on the paper by guiding it to the platen and sequentially printing on the paper.

Therefore, some conventional printing devices, as shown in Figure 5,
There is a wire dot printer that can feed paper from both above and below the main body. The neutral number (1) in Figure 5 is the printer body, and (2) is the automatic paper feeder. As shown in Figure 1, the printer body (1) is placed on the automatic paper feeder (2).

Then, from the top of the printer body (1), follow the arrow (a) in the figure.
The paper fed in the direction is guided from the back of the platen (3) to the front.0 The symbols (5) and (5) in the figure are placed against the platen (3) in order to press the paper and feed the paper. It is a paper presser roller. On the other hand, on the front side (left side in the figure) of the platen (3), there is a guide sheet (6) made of Mylar paper, etc.
The tip is pressed against it. The base end of the guide sheet (6) is attached to the upper end of the guide plate (7). The guide plate (7) is arranged along the length direction of the platen (3),

However, it is still fine when the paper remains in the automatic paper feeder (2), but if a paper jam occurs in the printer body (1), it is difficult to remove the paper. Therefore, this invention feeds paper from below the main body of the apparatus as described above, and transports the paper using a pair of guide plates. If a paper jam occurs in a printing device that guides the paper to a platen, sets it on the platen, and sequentially prints on the paper, even if it is a paper jam inside the printer, the paper will The purpose is to make it easier to take out.

At this time, if a paper feed jam occurs, open the front cover of the printer case, move the carrier (25) to one side, and move the carrier (25) to one of the two divided guide plates (36) and (37) so that it does not get in the way. Open the guide plate. For example, when the carrier (25) is on the right, the left divided guide plate (36) is opened, and when the carrier (25) is on the left, the right divided guide plate (37) is opened. Then, it is necessary to take out the paper (23) causing the paper jam. After taking out the paper (23), the opened guide plate is closed again and printing is started.

Note that if the guide plate (33) is made of a transparent resin material such as acrylic, when a paper feed jam occurs, the state of the paper jam can be confirmed from the outside, which is very convenient. Similarly, the guide plate may be provided with a window through which the inside can be checked so as not to interfere with paper feeding.
