Traditionally, graphic equalizers are used to correct frequency characteristics, and most have a variation range of ±10dB to ±12dB, but when you want a subtle change or for recording, etc., a variation range of ±12dB is not required. In this case, the range of change is too wide, making it difficult to set the adjustment knob.

In Fig. 1, when the variable terminal of a certain variable resistor is set to the (+) side, as shown in the equivalent circuit in Fig. 2, the resonant frequency of the resonant circuit connected to that variable terminal causes the amplifier 6 to The amount of feedback is reduced and its frequency is enhanced. Also, when the variable terminal of the variable resistor is set to the (-) side, as shown in the equivalent circuit in Figure 3,
The impedance of the output terminal 8 of the amplifier 9 decreases at the resonant frequency of the resonant circuit connected to the variable terminal, and the frequency is attenuated.

As described above, in the conventional graphic equalizer, the variable terminal of the variable resistor has a peak characteristic on the (+) side and a dip characteristic on the (-) side. P = r+R 1 /r·R/R 2 +R, and the maximum attenuation degree G D is expressed as G D = R+R 1 /R·r/R 2 +r from FIG. However, R is a resistance value of n variable resistors connected in parallel from one end to the middle point.

Here, if R 1 =R 2 , then G P =1/G D. Under the condition that r≪R 1 =R 2 ≪R, G P =1/
G D ≒R 1 /r=R 2 /r, and the degree of amplification and attenuation are determined by the resonance impedance r, feedback resistance R 1 and output resistance.
It is determined approximately by the ratio of R 2 .

Therefore, in the present invention, the feedback resistor R 1 and the output resistor R 2 are composed of a plurality of resistors and a switch for switching them, and the values of the feedback resistor R 1 and the output resistor R 2 are changed by the switch. By substantially switching the maximum amplification degree and the maximum attenuation degree, it is attempted to obtain a range of variation suitable for use.

In this way, the degree of amplification and the degree of attenuation can be adjusted approximately by changing the changeover switches 13 and 14.
It is possible to switch between R 11 /r and R 12 /r, r/R 21 and r/R 22 , and as a result, the range of change becomes narrower, making it easier to set the adjustment knob.
