【考案の詳細な説明】
本考案は内燃機関等のシリンダヘツドに使用す
るセミサーキユラ・パツキングに関する。[Detailed Description of the Invention] The present invention relates to semicircular packing used in cylinder heads of internal combustion engines, etc.
従来、内燃機関等のシリンダヘツドではカム取
付け部の機械加工の際、外側環を通して加工しな
ければならないため、組付け時にはこの外側環の
加工穴を封鎖しなければならない。この加工穴を
封鎖するために半円形のパツキングを使用してい
る。この形状は第1図のごとく所望の厚みをもつ
た半円形のパツキングBで、第4図のごとく、シ
リンダヘツドDの加工穴Gに、半円形のセミサー
キユラ・パツキングBを嵌着し、この上にロツカ
カバーガスケツトEをロツカカバーFに装着した
ものを装着固定する。この折パツキングBの両角
部はシリンヘツドDの加工穴Gの肩部Cと同位置
になるが、上部よりの圧力によりパツキングBの
中央部が下におされ、端部は中心部へ引張られ肩
部Cに空隙が生じ、オイル洩れしてしまう。更に
繰返し使用する場合、あるいは長期間連続使用す
る場合、パツキング上部のゴムのヘタリ現象が強

を形成した形のものを、パツキングAに内含した

角部の落込みが、内含された芯金2により防がれ
中央部への圧力が横方向へ働き、両角部はピツタ
リの加工穴Gの肩部Cに密着、押しつけられるの
で、肩部Cに空隙を生ずる欠点は完全に除去され
る。又、芯金を内含するため、装着時、パツキン
グAの変形量が小さくなると共に、芯金の弾性に
よりパツキングA全体の回復性が良好となり、ヘ
タリ現象がほとんどなくなる。すなわち、締付け
圧による圧縮に対し、芯金2の横方向の収縮は全
くなく、かつ下方円弧部分は変形により両角部を
押し上げようとする変形をなし、パツキングAの
