Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform all operations on the front of a copying machine by loading a copying paper feed cassette and a feed table at the operator-side front part of copying paper and arranging a discharge tray for recorded copying paper on the front of a copying machine, and providing a manual insertion paper feed slit to part of the top surface part. CONSTITUTION:A console panel 2 is arranged at the top surface part of a main body 1 closely to an operator, the copying paper feed cassette 3 and discharge tray 4 are provided under the front part, and an original platen 5, an original cover 6, and the manual insertion slit 10 for thick copying paper 9 which is provided at the inner side and used for both-surface copying are provided at the top surface part of the copying machine body 1. Copying paper 7 which is normally used is conveyed from the paper feed cassette 3 through conveyer rollers 11-13 and conveyance chutes 14 and 16 and special copying paper 9 which is thick, on the other hand, is inserted into the manual insertion slit 10 adjoining to the top surface part original platen 5 of the copying machine and conveyed through conveyer rollers 17, 18, and 13 and conveying chutes 15 and 16. Then, the paper reaches a photosensitive drum 19 as well as the normal copying paper 7, an image on the photosensitive body is transferred there, and the paper is recovered on the discharge tray 4 after passing through a fixing device 21.

Conventional copying machines have an operation panel on the top of the machine, and the operator places a document on the document table near the operation panel on the top and presses the operation button on the operation panel. The copy paper fed from the paper feed cassette or paper feed stand loaded on the right (or left) side of the front section has its toner image transferred from the photoreceptor drum and fixed, and then Copy paper that is ejected to the ejection tray, or that is fed by loading the paper feed cassette from the front side, receives the image transfer from the photoreceptor and is then collected into the ejection tray on the left or right side. Furthermore, a system was adopted in which copy paper fed from the paper feed cassette loaded from the front was received by a discharge tray at the rear after being transferred.

As mentioned above, when looking at the copier from the operator's side, conventional copying machines require work space on the front and all or one of the left and right sides, and also have an ejection port on the rear. In some cases, there was a problem with exclusive space, such as the need for at least enough space at the front, on either the left or right sides, and at the rear for people to enter and exit. In addition, there is a problem in that the operating range of the operator is too wide and it becomes tiring, and the maintainability is also not good. In order to solve these problems, it is an object of the present invention to provide a copying machine in which all operations can be performed from the front of the copying machine.

The operator performs operations from the front part on the left side of FIG. 1, and the rear part of the copying machine is on the right side of the figure. An operation panel 2 is arranged on the upper surface of the main body 1 near the operator, a copy paper feed cassette 3 and a paper ejection section 4 are provided on the lower front side, and a document table 5 is provided on the upper surface of the copying machine main body 1. , a document cover 6 and a manual feeding port 10 for thick copy paper 9 including double-sided copying are provided on the back side thereof. The rear part is in contact with the wall. The copy paper 7 normally used is transported from the paper feed cassette 3 to the conveyor rollers 11 and 12.
, 13 and transport chutes 14 and 16, and reaches a photoreceptor drum 19, where the original on the document table is imaged on the photoreceptor 19 by an optical system 20, and the toner-developed image on the photoreceptor is formed. The image is transferred onto the copy paper and fixed by the fixing device 21.
After being thermally fixed at , the copy paper is collected onto the discharge section pallet 4.

On the other hand, the thick special copy paper 9 is a double-sided copy paper with one side copied, or is similar to various recording cards such as postcards and book classification cards. The transport rollers 17 , 18 , 13 and the transport shoe) 15 are inserted from a certain manual feed port 10 .
16 and reaches a photoreceptor drum 19 in the same way as the plain paper copy paper 7, where the image on the photoreceptor is transferred, passes through a fixing device 21, and is collected onto the discharge section 4. That is, after the conveyance roller 13 and the conveyance shade 16, ordinary copy paper, thick special copy paper, etc. are collected through a common path. Ordinary copy paper 7 is conveyed from the paper feed cassette 3, made a 180° U-turn at the conveyance chute 14, and collected on the output pallet. However, double-sided copying or thick special copying paper 9 such as postcards and book classification cards has reduced flexibility and cannot withstand sudden 180° U-turns, resulting in transport failure. 18 in invention
Avoiding 0° U-turn and feeding from a separate port Conveyor Shade 1
In addition, the path from the manual feed port 10 to the conveyance chute 15 is designed so that it can be turned gently by 90' with a large radius of curvature of 5 to ensure stable conveyance. Therefore, transportation is smooth.

Being able to arrange each function of the copying machine as described above means replacing the paper cassette, collecting the copied paper, setting the document on the document table, operating the various operation buttons on the operation panel, and monitoring the operation status. In addition, all operations for manually feeding special copy paper can be performed from the front of the copying machine, and even if the height of the copying machine is as high as this, copy paper can be easily inserted into the manual feed slot at the back of the document table. Therefore, the document table 5 and the document cover 6
It is effective to tilt the angle as shown in FIG. In addition, by tilting the document table toward the front of the operator, the low front side can be used as the reference for exposure scanning of the document. Therefore, a reference wall 22 is provided at the lowest side of the document table, and The side edges are made to touch against each other with the help of their own weight.
The counter functions so that the operation of placing the original on the original table becomes extremely easy.

With this invention, both normal thickness copy paper and thick copy paper of a specific size can be transported stably, and all operations can be performed from the front of the copy machine. Stable copying has come to be expected. In addition, since there is no work to be done on the rear side or on both the left and right sides, it is no longer necessary to provide extra space for installation, making it possible to provide a very efficient copying machine.
