aが係合爪bに係合して該ロツク片cにシフトレ
バーの後進位置へのシフト操作を阻止する前記ロ
ツク位置への傾動が与えられるようにする式のも
のは知られ、この場合シフトレバーのセレクト位
置へのセレクト操作によれば第3図示の如く突子
aが係合爪bの外側のカム縁fに当接してロツク
片cにシフトレバーの前進位置と後進位置とへの
シフト操作を許容する前記不動位置への傾動が与
えられ、シフト操作の完了によれば突子aの係合
爪bからの離脱によりロツク片cが戻しばねeで
中立位置に復帰して、前進位置からの戻し操作に
備えられるようにするが、この場合戻しばねeは
ロツク片cを前進側と後進側とに索引すべく1対
に用意して両ばねe,eのバランスでロツク片c
を中立位置に保持する式を一般としたもので、か
くするときはロツク片cに作用する摩擦によるヒ
ステリシスや各ばねe,eの弾発力の変化によつ
てロツク片cを所定の中立位置に保持し得なくな
ることがあり、前進側への位置ずれによれば前進
位置からの戻し操作に際して突子aが係合爪bに
係合されず後進位置への誤操作を防止出来なかつ
たり、又後進側への位置ずれによればセレクト操
作に続く後進位置へのシフト操作に際し突子aが
係合爪bに係合して後進位置へのシフト操作が不
能となる等の不都合を伴う。

ー1の前進位置と後進位置とへのシフト操作を許
容する前記不作動位置への傾動が与えられるよう
に構成するものにおいて、前記戻しばね7を該ロ
ツク片5の中立位置において該ロツク片5に固定
の突片8と機枠9に固定のばね受10とにその両
側から圧接させ該ロツク片5をばね受10で決定
される中立位置に位置つけて成る。
