[Detailed description of the invention] This invention relates to a joint material. especially,
This invention relates to a so-called expansion joint material that is placed on a concrete floor or the like to absorb the shrinkage of concrete and prevent the occurrence of cracks. In general, expansion joint materials consist of a plate-shaped joint body made of synthetic resin foam, a cap member that is placed on top of the joint body for reinforcement, and a base material that is attached to the joint body. It consists of support legs or support elements for placement on top. Various types of support legs or support members have been devised, but generally one is used in which the height of the joint material is adjusted by opening and closing the support legs. In this case, it is necessary to fix the supporting legs to the base with mortar or the like, but this work is quite complicated. Instead of such support legs, there are known ones that use blocks made of lightweight concrete (Utility Model Application Publication No. 54817/1983) or blocks made of expanded polystyrene (Mejitak manufactured by Draftite Industries Co., Ltd.). The former type has technical difficulties in forming the block and is easily damaged, while the latter type has the disadvantage that it is too lightweight and can be pushed out of position by the poured concrete during concrete pouring. In addition, what can be said for both is that the joint between the supporting legs or supporting members and the joint material body is insufficient, which causes the joint material body to sag during concrete pouring, causing the top surface of the joint material to tilt. Alternatively, the main body of the joint material may come off the support member and protrude from the concrete surface.

The drawings show one embodiment of this invention, with FIG. 1 being a sectional view and FIG. 2 being a perspective view.
In the figure, 1 is a long joint material body made of synthetic resin foam or the like, 2 is a cap member that is placed over the top of the joint material body 1, and 3 is a pair of support members.
The joint material main body 1 is fixed in a sandwiched state by the connecting means 4. This is because the heads at both ends of the coupling means 4 act as stoppers, while the elastic force of the joint body 1 is applied to the supporting members 3 at the opposite ends.
This is because the support member 3 tries to expand the joint material body 1 outward, and conversely, there is some so-called play in the recess 3b provided on the lower side of the support member 3. Some movement is possible in the direction of contraction.

Reference numeral 5 denotes a reinforcing member made of metal or hard synthetic resin, which is configured in an inverted U shape and placed over the entire length of the joint body 1 from above, or as shown in FIG. Place pieces approximately 5 to 10 cm long at regular intervals.

In the illustrated embodiment, a convex portion 5a is provided at the end of the reinforcing member 5, and a concave portion 3a is continuously formed on the inner surface of the supporting member 3, so that the desired height of the joint material is adjusted. Accordingly, the two are engaged.

Since the joint material of this invention is constructed as described above, there is no need to fix the joint material on the base surface with mortar or the like, and in particular, since the reinforcing member 5 is arranged, when pouring concrete, In addition to effectively preventing an accident in which the joint material body 1 is bent in the direction of the arrow in FIG. Since the supporting member 3 and the reinforcing member 5 are engaged by the uneven portion, there is an advantage that joint defects such as joint material body 1 coming off from the supporting member 3 and protruding onto the concrete surface after joint construction are unlikely to occur. There is. Incidentally, in the case where the elastic force of the joint material body 1 is strong and the joint material body 1 is particularly firmly sandwiched between the supporting members 3, it is not necessary to provide the above-mentioned engaging uneven portion.
