Abstract

PURPOSE:To attain surely step difference alignment by means of the f5 system even when a guard band exists by detecting and comparing the crosstalk of a pilot signal with a couple of heads provided separately at the 2nd speed and applying its comparison output to an electric converting element so as to align track pitches. CONSTITUTION:Substantial heads A, B are fitted respectively to one end of bimorphs 2, 3 as electric converting elements fitted to a tape guide drum 1, heads B', A' with different azimuth are provided respectively adjacent to the heads A, B to attain the double azimuth head constitution.
