Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the suspension of the serving function of an equipment in use when a fault occurs in it by monitoring periodically the standby equipment of a duplexed radio base station interface equipment. CONSTITUTION:With the starting-up of a monitoring program, a central control equipment 2 checks whether a data transfer control equipment 5 that is the standby equipment for a data transfer control equipment 4 is operated normally or not. When it is normal after the check, a monitoring order is edited in a predetermined format and is sent out to a transmitter 6 through the data transfer control equipment 5. After that, the central control equipment 2 turns into a state to wait the answer receiving for the monitoring order sent. When the answer is received, the CCU checks whether the answer is normal or not. When the answer is normal, the central control equipment 2 turns into a state to wait for the next period.

[Detailed Description of the Invention] [Field of Industrial Application] The present invention relates to a method for monitoring a paging exchange system, and in particular, the present invention relates to a method for monitoring a paging exchange system, and in particular, the service function is improved by monitoring a backup device of a wireless base station interface device connected to a paging exchange and having a duplex configuration. It relates to a method for preventing outages.

In the conventional ψ monitoring method described above, unless a maintenance person issues commands to the paging switch from an external input/output device such as a typewriter, monitoring of the redundant spare side equipment is not carried out, making it difficult to detect failures. Not done. In this type of monitoring method, when a failure occurs in the regular device during service operation, the system switches to the backup device in order to continue the service, and only then does it become clear that the backup device is at fault. The drawback is that it can lead to the worst-case scenario of a serious failure, resulting in a complete stoppage of service functions.

Next, the operation of this embodiment will be explained using FIGS. 1 and 2. The program shown in the flowchart of FIG. 2 is a monitoring program built into the central control device 2, and is activated at a predetermined constant cycle by a periodic activation control program within the central control device 2.

When this monitoring program is started, first step 10
At this time, the central control device 2 checks whether the data transfer control device 5, which is a backup device of the data transfer control device 4, is normal. If the data transfer control device 5 is not normal as a result of this check, it means that the data transfer control device 5 is already in trouble, and the process proceeds to □ step 18. This means:
Central control device 2! This means that the current cycle will not be monitored and the system will wait for the next cycle to start. If the result of the above check is normal, proceed to step 11.

In step 12, the central control device 2 sends the monitoring order to the data channel control device 3 in order to send the monitoring order edited in step 11 to the transmitter device M6 via the data transfer control device 5. The route through which the monitoring order is transferred is central control bag N2 -> data channel control device 3 -> data transfer control device 5 -transmitter device 6.

Next, in step 13, the central control device 2 enters a state of waiting to receive an answer to the monitoring order sent out in step 12. The return route of the answer is completely opposite to the transfer route of the monitoring order, and is the transmitter device 6 - the monitor transfer control device 5 - the data channel control device 3 - the central control device 2. When an answer is received through this route, the process proceeds to step 14.

In step 14, it is checked whether the answer is normal or not. If the answer is normal as a result of this check, the process proceeds to step 18, and the central control unit 2 enters a state of waiting for the next cycle. If the answer is not normal as a result of the above check, the process proceeds to step 15.
