Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent optical fiber codes from being congested and interwound with each other, by providing an optical connector adaptor, mechanism for disposing excessive parts of optical fiber codes, optical fiber code loading member having a horn-like shape, and separator. CONSTITUTION:Optical connector adaptors 2 are fixed zigzag in the longitudinal and transverse directions to the side face section 1a of an L-shaped fitting plate 1 by means of screws, etc., and disk-like reels 5 for disposing excessive parts of optical fiber codes 4 are closely contacted with the bottom face section 1b of the fitting plate 1 under a condition where the reels 5 are freely rotated by means of a rotating shaft 6. The optical fiber code 4 connected with an optical connector 3 is fixedly held by means of a coil spring 9 after it is wound around the disk-like reel 5 for a necessary winding number and contained in the opening section of a U-shaped separator. Then the code 4 is led to the outside through a horn-shaped optical fiber code loading member 7 provided at the bottom face section 1b of the fitting plate 1.

Conventional 1. The optical connector terminal board of this carpenter has a structure in which a plurality of optical connector adapters are arranged on the side surface of an L-shaped mounting plate, and an optical connector to which an optical fiber cord is connected is inserted into the optical connector adapter. Furthermore, the extra length of the optical fiber cord is bent and accommodated at the bottom of the mounting plate at random.

Therefore, in the conventional optical connector slave board described above, all the original fiber cords connected to the optical connectors inserted into each adapter are concentrated on the bottom surface of the mounting plate, and the optical 7-ip cords are congested and confounded. It had the disadvantage of inviting Additionally, approximately 50 to 100 optical connector adapters are usually mounted on the original connector cover terminal board in order to improve mounting efficiency. This has the disadvantage that it becomes impossible to distinguish the correspondence between the connector and the optical 7-eyeper. For this reason, when reaccommodating an optical connector from its current inserted position to another location, it has become a difficult task to find the optical fiber cord that corresponds to the optical connector.

Optical connector adapters 2 are fixed in horizontal rows in a staggered manner by screws or the like (FIG. 1A). Additionally, on the bottom surface 1b of the mounting plate 1, there is provided a 4° extra length of the optical fiber cord connected to the optical connector 3 inserted into the adapter 2, corresponding to the optical connector adapter 2. A disc-shaped reel 5 is rotatably arranged in close contact with the rotating shaft 6 (FIGS. 1B and 1C). This disk-shaped reel 5 is configured to be able to wrap the extra length of the fiber cord 4 one to three times, and has a maximum extra length processing capacity of 50 centimeters. In addition, when reaccommodating the optical connector 3, the disc-shaped reel 5 is rotated to the front side (Y direction in FIG. 1C) via the shaft 6, and the optical connector inserted into the optical connector adapter 2 is rotated. After pulling out the cord 3, the cord 4 can be unwound by unwinding it in the opposite direction to the direction in which it was wound. Further, at both ends of the bottom surface 1b of the mounting plate 1, there are provided approximately horn-shaped optical fiber cord mounting members for securing the bending radius of the optical fiber cord and for accommodating and aligning the optical fibers. (7a, Wb) (first

(8a to sd) respectively, and then seal the optical fiber cord 4S on the front side.
The long optical fiber cords 4L are housed on the back side (FIG. 1B). Further, a coil spring 9 is disposed between the disc-shaped reel 5 and the senolator 8 on the bottom surface 1b of the mounting plate 1, and the optical fiber cord 4 wound around the disc-shaped reel 5 is attached to this coil spring. It is clamped and fixed with 9 (

This will be explained with the help of a diagram. The optical fiber cord mounting member 7 is
1 upward curved portion 71. to ensure a bending radius greater than the permissible bending radius of the fiber cord 4 on the upper, lower and horizontal sides of the optical fiber cord 4. It has a generally trumpet shape with a downward curved section 72 and an execution direction curved section 73, and furthermore, the front section 74 has tapered sections 75a and 75b at both left and right ends for introducing and guiding the optical fiber cord 4. A stepped groove 75 consisting of a wide central portion 75C is provided beyond the tapered portions 75a and 75b. The light 7 eye code 4 is housed in the equipment member 7 configured in this manner by being introduced (in the direction of the stepped groove 75 in the front direction), and optionally by the curved portions 71 in the upward, downward and depth directions. The line will be aligned along 72.73. Note that this equipment member 7 is integrally formed of synthetic resin.

As explained above, the present invention provides a rotatable disc-shaped reel corresponding to an optical connector adapter.
It is possible to easily process the excess length of the optical fiber cord, and there is an effect that convergence and entanglement of the optical 7-iper cord connected to the optical connector can be prevented. In addition, by arranging the trumpet-shaped mounting member, the bending radius of the optical fiber cord can be easily secured and accommodated, and the mounting plate is further provided with a separator on the bottom surface for separating the optical fiber cord. Effects such as being able to prevent convergence and entanglement of thin, long and short optical fiber bundles can be obtained.
