To open a tap hole in a blast furnace, use a drill to drill a hole halfway through the blast furnace wall where the hole is to be drilled, that is, in the area where mud was filled with a mud gun after the previous tapping and hardened by the furnace heat. The method used is to drill a hole by driving a rod into the hole, and many devices for this purpose have also been proposed. For example, a hole puncher and a hammer are movably mounted on a frame with an angle of inclination equal to that of the taphole, and a driller fixed to the tip of the frame is attached to the furnace wall above the taphole. After engaging the chipper receiver and positioning, connect the hole-drilling drill to the hole-drilling machine and drive the hole-drilling machine to rotate the drill and move it forward while giving a blow to the furnace wall where the hole is to be drilled. After drilling the hole halfway, the drill is moved backwards, a rod is connected to the drilling machine in place of the drill, and this rod is inserted into the previously drilled hole and moved forward while giving a blow to the remaining wall of the furnace. A device is known in which a hole is opened by penetrating the rod to reach the molten metal part in the furnace and then applying a reverse blow to the rod and pulling it out. However, the taphole drilling work using this taphole drilling machine involves positioning the drill when setting it on the furnace wall to be drilled, and retracting the drill after drilling the hole with the drill, and replacing it with a drill. Manual alignment is required when fitting the rod into the hole, and this manual alignment work is performed on the hot metal trough just before tapping, and is performed under high heat and in a harsh environment with a lot of dust. The work had become dangerous, and improvements were desperately needed.

In the method of the present invention, before drilling the tap hole with the tap hole drilling machine 10, the outer surface 8A of the blast furnace wall where the hole 7 is to be drilled.
The drill 4 is connected to the drilling machine 1 through the funnel-shaped guide 11.
This is characterized in that the hole is opened by guiding the hole to the outer surface 8A of the blast furnace wall. When drilling a hole using the drill 4 instead of a rod, a rod is set in place of the drill 4, and the rod is driven in with a blow from the drilling machine 1, and then is pulled out by giving a reverse blow to the rod. In this case, too, the funnel-shaped guide 11 according to the present invention can be used to guide the tip of the rod to the outer wall surface 8A of the blast furnace wall where the hole 7 is to be bored.

Since the apparatus of the present invention is configured as described above, when drilling a tap hole using the apparatus of the present invention, first the tap hole drilling machine 10 is moved to the front of the furnace wall where the hole is to be drilled, and the 5 is engaged with and fixed to the chipper receiver 6 provided on the furnace wall, and then the funnel-shaped guide is retracted to the position shown by the dotted line in Figure 2.
3 extends the rod 18 and rotates the arm 12, thereby directing the opening 7 to the outer surface 8A of the blast furnace wall where it is to be drilled. By this operation, the funnel-shaped guide 11 is set at the position where the hole is to be drilled, but if this position needs to be finely adjusted, it can be done by moving the bracket 15 using the adjusting device 14.

Next, the drilling machine 1 connected to the drill 4 is attached to the frame 3.
When the drill 4 is moved forward along the funnel-shaped guide 11, the tip of the drill 4 is guided to the outer surface 8 of the blast furnace wall to be drilled.
This will lead you to A. Thereafter, the hole drilling machine 1 is driven to rotate the drill 4 and give a blow to drill the hole. When drilling a hole with the drill 4 reaches 1 to 2 m, if a hole drilling method is used in which the drill is stopped halfway and the rod is then driven in, the rod is connected to the drilling machine 1 instead of the drill, and the drilling machine When the rod 1 is advanced, the rod is guided by the funnel-shaped guide 11 and automatically inserted into the hole drilled by the drill, and the remaining furnace wall is drilled while giving a blow to the rod. It reaches the molten metal part in the furnace. Thereafter, the tap hole is opened by pulling out the rod while applying a reverse blow using the blower 2.
At the same time as the hole is opened, a drive device 13 is installed to prevent the funnel-shaped guide 11 from being exposed to the hot metal 9 spewing out from inside the furnace and being melted.
is driven to retract the funnel-shaped guide 11 to the original position shown by the dotted line in FIG.

FIG. 3 is a front view illustrating a desirable shape of the funnel-shaped guide 11 according to the present invention. That is, the funnel-shaped guide 11 is divided into sections 11A and 11B in the length direction, and is configured to be opened and closed by a drive device 20 via a pin 19. By dividing the funnel-shaped guide in this way, after guiding the tip of the drill or rod during hole drilling, one of the divided guides 11B
By moving the guide to the position indicated by the dotted line in Figure 3 using the drive device 20, it can be disengaged from the drill 4 and the rod, and the entire funnel-shaped guide can be retracted during drilling. . This makes it possible to eliminate erosion of the funnel-shaped guide.

As described above, according to the method of the present invention, it is possible to align the drill and rod during taphole drilling work without manual intervention, and the device of the present invention can be used to attach a funnel-shaped guide to the taphole drilling machine. Since the funnel-shaped guide is installed, it is easy to align the position of the funnel-shaped guide, and by dividing the funnel-shaped guide, the funnel-shaped guide will not be damaged by melting due to exposure to hot metal spouted from the furnace during tapping. It has the following effects.
