Abstract

PURPOSE:The titled preservative, containing liquid paraffin, surfactant, organic solvent and chemical for wood, having improved permeability into wood, perme able into the deep part of the wood, exhibiting higher permeation force than oils even in the case of dried wood, and capable of forming a paste with water. CONSTITUTION:A highly permeable wood preservative obtained by adding a chemical for wood, e.g. chlordene or chlorpyrifos, in an amount exhibiting the drug effect to a composition consisting of 5-30pts.wt. liquid paraffin. n- or iso-paraffin or a paraffin mixture thereof, 5-15pts.wt. surfactant, e.g. nonionic surfactant and 90-55pts.wt. organic solvent, e.g. alcohol, ketone or kerosine. The above-mentioned preservative is suitable for preservation treat ment of wood, e.g. particularly mothproofing, and controlling, antifungal treat ment of wood, etc. EFFECT:Treatment can be carried out suitably even in a place where the wood preservation treatment is difficult such as a wood part with high humidity or hidden site and the preservative forms a pasty viscous liquid by adding water suitably thereto. The paste can be prepared at site at the time of use, and the preservative is safe without causing dispersion of contents, etc.

[Detailed Description of the Invention] [Industrial Application Field] The present invention relates to a wood preservative, particularly for wood insect control, termite control,
Suitable for preservation treatment of wood such as antiseptic and anti-mold.When used, when water is added, it becomes a paste-like viscous liquid, which can be made into a paste on site. This invention relates to a wood preservative that exhibits high permeability even in wood that is difficult to preserve.

In addition, the lack of permeability means that the chemical cannot be sufficiently distributed to the wood parts where wood preservation treatment is difficult, and therefore it is not possible to apply preservation treatment evenly.

Wood preservatives can be formulated in the form of an oil-based solution such as taleosote oil, which is used as is, or a water-insoluble drug dissolved in a solvent, an emulsifier added to it, and diluted with water. There are emulsion-type products used, and there are also paste-type products.

Paste-like products have the advantage of adhering well to the wood surface and do not scatter unlike powder-like products, but they also have the disadvantage that the contents tend to separate into phases or stick to the can. be. Furthermore, some conventional paste-type products may cause the chemicals to drip and fall when applied to the vertical surfaces of wood.

(3) As a result of the present invention, as a result of its good permeability, it gradually penetrates into areas where wood preservation treatment is difficult, such as surface treatment such as deep areas under floors, in addition to wood treatment as shown in Figure 1. We were able to provide a chemical suitable for wood preservation treatment, which is easy to perform and has high medicinal efficacy.

(4) Since the wood preservative of the present invention penetrates well into the wood, there is less contamination after construction and the surface is beautifully finished. especially,
Since the wood preservative of the present invention mainly migrates within the conduit of wood, for example, even if the fiber wall is attached to a pillar as shown in FIG. Unlike conventional wood preservatives, the wood preservative of the present invention has the unique property of penetrating through the wood conduit, especially in the direction of the fibers. In cases where it is difficult to apply the drug, coating the drug at a low location has the advantage of omitting work at a high location. Further, for example, as shown in FIG. 1, the drug naturally permeates into the tenon section and the preservation treatment can be carried out without any special preservation treatment being applied to the cut portion as in the conventional case.
