Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a molding tool which can mold a high-temp. metal and has high durability by forming a pair of male and female molding tools of ceramic materials, providing heating and cooling mechanisms thereto and incorporating porous air permeable members having heat resistance to a liner.
CONSTITUTION: A molten metal is poured into the molding part of a female mold a2 while the sectional cores 5, 5' of the mold a2 are advanced and combined and thereafter the male mold a1 is lowered to mate both molds and to pressurize the same. The heating mechanisms 1, 4 are operated so that the molds undergo an adequate temp. drop. While the inside of the molding part is forcibly sucked by porous ceramics 7a, 7'a of the female mold a2, the liner 2 is moved downward to pressurize the molten metal and the suction is started by the porous ceramics 3a, 3'a of the liner 2. The generated gas and intruded air in the molding part are expelled from the inside of the molding part by the force suction of the porous ceramics 3a, 3'a and 7a, 7'a. The male mold a1 is raised to open the molds upon lapse of the prescribed time and the solidified molding is taken out of the female mold a2.
