シヤフトと同シヤフトを回転可能に支持するコラ
ムチユーブを備えたステアリングコラムを、前記
コラムチユーブの軸方向に所定の力が作用したと
き同コラムチユーブの同方向への移動を許容する
前後一対のブラケツトにて車体側に組付けてなる
ステアリングコラムの支持構造において、前記両
ブラケツトのいずれか一方を、前記コラムチユー
ブの外周に嵌合されてその内周縁部にて同コラム
チユーブの外周に固着される基体と、同基体の一
側にて階段状に前記コラムチユーブの外周に延び
てこれに固着され前記コラムチユーブからの所定
の作用力にて変形する第１アーム部と、前記基体
の他側にて前記車体の組付部側に延びてこれに固
着される第２アーム部とにより構成し、かつ同第
２アーム部と前記基体間に前記作用力によるこれ
ら両者間の変形を助勢する助勢部を形成したこと
