DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to a vehicle handle whose handle ring is made of a metal plate.

Conventional handle structures were made by winding solid metal wire rods with various cross-sectional shapes such as round wire rods and hexagonal wire rods into a ring shape, welding both ends of the wire rods, and then welding the spokes. During butt welding of both ends, the shape of the handle may be deformed due to thermal distortion, creating a problem in maintaining its dimensional accuracy.

In addition, for the purpose of reducing the weight of the handle, a handle has been proposed in which a seamless hollow pipe is used as the material instead of solid wire, and the material is wound into a ring shape, and both ends of the pipe are welded, and the spokes are welded. Similarly, there is a problem in dimensional accuracy due to thermal distortion, and there is a risk of shear failure such as cracks occurring on the inner diameter side where compression occurs when bending the pipe into a ring, and on the outer diameter side where tension occurs. Furthermore, it has been difficult to accurately process the pipe material into a ring shape due to variations in the material of each rod.

The present invention has been made to eliminate these drawbacks. That is, the present invention uses a metal plate material as the material for the handle ring instead of conventionally used metal round wire rods, hexagonal wire rods, pipe materials, etc., and by making the handle ring in the required shape described later, the above-described features can be achieved. This solves the problems inherent in solid wire bending handles or pipe bending handles, making it possible to provide highly reliable and inexpensive handles, and at the same time making it possible to realize lightweight handles.

In the figure, 1a indicates a handle ring, and 2 indicates spokes. The handle ring 1a is made of an elongated metal plate 1, and has a structure in which the elongated metal plate 1 is formed into a ring shape in the longitudinal direction and a pipe shape in the transverse direction, as shown in FIG. The handle ring 1a has an annular winding joint 5 of the metal plate 1 of the pipe on the outer circumferential surface of the handle ring 1a, and the spokes 2 are welded or It is attached by caulking etc. The spokes 2 may be joined to the metal plate 1, that is, the handle ring 1a, by fillet welding or brazing, instead of making holes 3 in the metal plate 1.

The above handle structure can be easily obtained by the processing steps shown in FIGS. 2 to 5. That is,
As shown in FIG. 2, first, prepare an elongated flat metal plate of an appropriate length and width to be the ring of the handle, and drill three holes at equal intervals in the center of the plate. Next, one end of a separately prepared spoke 2 is inserted into the hole 3, while a flat metal plate is wound in a ring shape in the longitudinal direction, and both ends of the spoke are joined by welding or the like. 4 indicates the end seam. Next, the ring-shaped metal plate and the spokes are fixed together by welding or caulking (see Figure 3).

The ring-shaped metal plate is processed into a pipe shape in the transverse direction by roll forming or press forming (see FIGS. 4 and 5).

As an example, the metal plate 1 is formed from a flat plate shown in FIG. 3, subjected to preliminary bending as shown in FIG. 4, and then final bent as shown in FIG. 5. Depending on the implementation, it is also possible to finish bend the flat plate directly into a pipe shape, or to attach the spokes 2 to a pre-bent metal plate shown in FIG. 4 and then finish bend it.

Coating the handle obtained in the above manner with resin or rubber as a cosmetic is useful for increasing the commercial value, and the present invention does not preclude this. Incidentally, when an aluminum-coated steel plate or a PVC-coated steel plate is used as the metal plate material for the ring 1a, there is no need for decoration, which is effective in reducing production costs.

As explained above, for example, in a handle ring made of conventional pipe material, when the two ends are butt welded, sputters may remain inside the ring, causing rolling noise of the sputters when operating the handle. However, since a metal plate is used in the present invention, this problem has been solved. In addition, in terms of production costs, the handle ring does not use pipe material, which is more expensive than plate material, so it can be produced at low cost. In addition, the dimensional accuracy of the handle ring can be obtained more stably than when the pipe material is wound into a ring shape. In addition, in the present invention, it is possible to prevent damage on the inner diameter side and the outer diameter side, which is the case when pipe is used as a material, and it is possible to form a highly reliable handle. By adopting a configuration in which the spoke mounting portion is on the inner diameter side, the handle ring can be easily formed by bending the plate outward as explained in the manufacturing method, etc., and the spokes can also be made into a seamless plate part. Can be firmly installed.
