Problem 11: Although the dyes represented by the above formulas U) and (2) according to the present invention are excellent in various fastnesses, especially lightfastness, their dyeability is inferior to that of conventional dyes. Azo blue dyes are inferior to dyes such as formula (9) above, and have the disadvantage that when dyed with the same amount of dye as conventional azo dyes, the dyeing density on synthetic fibers, especially polyester fibers, is low. In carrying out the present invention, the press cake of each dye to be blended is atomized and dispersed in an aqueous medium using a suitable dispersant, such as a condensate of naphthalene sulfonic acid and formalin, and then either directly powdered or sprayed. It is advantageous to form the dye into a powder by drying or the like and then blend it in a desired proportion to form a blue to navy dye composition.

Function and Effect The dyes represented by formulas (1) and (2) each have the following properties:
It had a low affinity for polyester cloth, and it was difficult to obtain a practical dyeing density. In other words, insufficient density during dyeing at 5thowf or higher, temperature sensitivity (e.g. 120°C
Since the dyeing density during dyeing and dyeing at 130°C was large, it could not be put to practical use. However, if these drawbacks are solved by using a mixture dye as in the present invention,
