して適当に長くすることによつてこれらの条件を
満たしてきた。ところが、自動車のエンジンルー
ム内の狭いスペースにこのような長いエアクリー
ナノーズや吸入ダクトを設けることは、他の装置
類との関係で制約が多く、実際上は限られた範囲
内でしか実現できず、上述のような条件を十分に
満足させることはできなかつた。

いる。これら吸気開口部9,10から入つた空気
は、空気室8を経てエアクリーナ本体1の周壁に
設けられた開口部11から、エアクリーナ本体1
内へ流入する。
