[Prior Art] Conventionally, most of this type of plasma display device 1dt and tl are dynamically driven.Generally, in a plastic A7q display device, it takes a certain amount of time from the application of an alternating voltage to initially turn on the light until it turns on. It takes. This is called the initial turn-on time. Generally speaking, the larger the number of scan electrodes, the longer the initial turn-on time, and the smaller the display area, the longer the initial turn-on time. Figure 2 shows the dynamic operation of a conventional plasma display device, which includes a plasma liver circuit 2 and a scan side driver circuit 3 a, i'&
,,) E-to,,,Wt 4 IC,yo,,1. Wow,
1. , E4 A high-voltage alternating voltage is supplied from the inverter circuit 5.1 [Problems to be Solved by the Invention] The conventional plasma display device described above operates dynamically from the beginning, so there is no processing time during the number of scans. Zuadi, 7.7', equipment 4. .. y When left unattended, -, 4, is noticeable. It should be noted that the conventional plasma display device is driven in a static state.
fi 7<,, -The number increases and the cost increases.
Furthermore, when the number of electrodes is large, pattern wiring of the plasma panel becomes virtually impossible. [Means for Solving the Problems] The present invention provides a plasma display panel having a plurality of discharge cells, a driver circuit section for driving the plasma display panel, and a control circuit section for controlling the driver circuit section. In the display device, the surface light detection section detects light generated from the plasma display panel, and the driver circuit section is statically driven while the light detection section does not detect the source, and once light is detected, it is dynamically driven. and a drive conversion circuit. [Example] Next, the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. I1- is a block diagram of one embodiment of the present invention. 1 - Plasma display panel; b, 2 Lin 1 plasma display panel, 1p Data side driver circuit with functions such as a shift register latch for driving the data electrode. Reference numeral 3 denotes a driver circuit on the side of the plasma display panel 1, which has functions such as a shift register latch for driving the rear keys and the side keys of the plasma display panel 1. 4 is a plasma display panel number control circuit that sends data to the data-side driver circuit 2, selects the scan-side driver, and -empty in sequence. 5 is driver circuit 2 or 3
This is an inverter circuit that supplies a high enough alternating voltage to turn on the plasma display panel 1. 6 detects the light generated by the plasma display panel 1 and sends information as to whether or not the light is detected to a drive conversion circuit 7.
This is a light detection unit that sends light to the The drive conversion circuit 7 converts the data side driver circuit 2 while the photodetector 6 does not detect light.
Data is written to make all dots light up, and the scan driver circuit 3 is made to select all the skins.A signal is input, and the light detection unit 6 detects the light and turns on the nine dots. This is a drive conversion circuit that drives the circuits 2 and 3 in a die-like manner to display a normal display. )Uf, that is, in this embodiment, when a regular voltage is applied to the plasma display device and -t41 does not light up, when the plasma display device is driven by the static switch, the plasma display panel 1 lights up. The light detection unit 6 can be installed on the front surface of the plasma display panel 1, but the plasma display panel 6 can be easily installed in the plasma display panel 6 so as to detect the light leaking from the back side. It would be better if the photodetecting section 6 was provided on the back side so that it would not get in the way. It's fine. In this case, the pattern wiring on the back side of the plasma display panel, spray panel, and l usually uses a thin film of silver or aluminum, but only the part that performs polarization detection uses a pattern of transparent electrodes to effectively block glare. Can be detected quickly. [Effects of the Invention] As explained above, the present invention is statically driven during the turn-on period, and then 1. Dynamic and normal display has the effect of shortening the turn-on period.
