Conventionally, in the production of enamelled wire, the wire rod is continuously annealed and sent to an enamel baking machine. As such a continuous annealing machine, for example, an annealing machine as shown in Fig. 1 is used. ing. Figure 1 shows that in the cooling water 2 of the cooling water tank 1,
An annealing pipe 3 with one end immersed is arranged at an angle,
The cooling water 2 is heated to about 80°C by the sheathed heater 4, and an annealed wire 5, such as a copper wire, annealed at a temperature of 500 to 700°C is guided into the cooling water 2 through the annealing pipe 3, and then the guide sieve 6. The wire is wound onto a winding bobbin (not shown) via a take-up roll 7, and as a heat source for annealing the wire, gas heated by a heater 8 is passed through the annealing pipe 3 by a heat-resistant fan 9. The method is to circulate the water. Alternatively, a method of directly heating with an electric heater as a heat source is also used, but in either method, the annealing pipe 3 is sealed with high-temperature steam, and the dissolved oxygen in the cooling water 2 is also released by heating. There is almost no risk that the annealed wire will be oxidized and discolored.

However, in the above-mentioned annealing equipment, if the running wire is stopped due to a problem such as a wire breakage outside the annealing equipment during work, the heater power is cut off, but it takes time for the temperature to drop, so the annealing pipe Wires that are stopped inside are likely to break, especially in the case of thin copper wires and aluminum wires.
This had the disadvantage that the annealed pipe had to be threaded in order to restart the work.

This idea was made in view of the above circumstances.
That is, an annealing furnace heated by a gas or electric heater, a cooling tank containing water or hot water, and an annealing pipe arranged in the annealing furnace and whose tip is inserted into the cooling tank. a continuous annealing apparatus for wire rods, comprising: a blower connected to a pipe having an open end near the tip of the annealing pipe; a drainage pipe connected to the lower end of the cooling tank via a control valve; The present invention relates to a continuous annealing apparatus for wire rods, characterized in that it is provided with a control device that detects the stoppage of the wire rod traveling in the annealing pipe, opens the control valve, and starts the blower device.

An embodiment of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings. In FIG. 2, 1 to 9 indicate the same parts as in FIG. 1, 10 is a blower, 11 is a control valve, and 12 is a control device. The wire rod 5' is passed from a wire drawing machine (not shown) through a guide sheave 13 into an annealing pipe 3, passes through a cooling water tank 1, a guide sheave 6, a take-up roll 7, and is enameled by an enamel baking machine (not shown). After being coated and baked, it is rolled up.

When the annealed wire 5 breaks in the enamel baking machine, the guide sheave 13 stops, so this is detected and the signal a is input to the control device 12. The control device 12 stops the motor 14 of the heat-resistant fan 9 and cuts off the power to the heater 8 according to the symbol a. At the same time, the motor 16 of the air blower (for example, a cold air blower) 10 connected to the pipe 15 having an open end near the tip of the annealing pipe 3 is driven, and the cooling water 2 of the cooling water tank 1 is supplied to the control valve 1.
1 is activated to discharge the water from the drain pipe 17 and send cold air into the annealing pipe 3.

According to the present invention configured as described above, when the wire in the annealing equipment stops due to trouble during work, the temperature in the annealing pipe decreases rapidly, so there is no possibility of wire breakage in the annealing furnace. This method has advantages such as improved workability, simple structure, and can be obtained by partially improving a conventional device.

In the above embodiments, a hot air circulation type annealing apparatus using a heater was explained, but the present invention can also be applied to a direct heating type, gas heating type, or electric current annealing type continuous annealing apparatus using an electric heater. Ru. Further, the method for detecting a disconnection is not based on stopping the guide sheave, but other methods can also be used to detect the disconnection.
