Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate the alignment of the bending position of pipe with a hole in the wall by providing the mounting plate with multiple different marks and also providing the back of the room unit with the same marks as on the mounting plate at corresponding locations. CONSTITUTION:The back of the cabinet 1 has fixtures 1d at the top, and marks 1a-1c at the bottom. The mounting plate 3 has projections 3b at the top that engage the fixtures 1d on the cabinet 1, and marks 3a-3c and 3d, 3e at the bottom that correspond with the marks 1a-1c on the cabinet 1. When installing the air conditioner, the mounting plate is first attached and fastened to the wall 4. Then, a hole 4a is drilled in the wall 4 to permit the routing of pipe 5 etc. By bending the pipe 5 at a position X marked 1c, it can easily be aligned with and pass through the hole 4c, facilitating the alignment of the hole in the wall 4 with the pipe 5.
