介装すると共に、補助チヨークコイルCH2にス
イツチング素子TRIを並列接続し、電源電圧に
より設定した基準電圧と放電灯電圧により設定し
た直流レベルとの比較により放電灯電圧が一定に
なるように前記スイツチング素子TRIのトリガ
回路Q1のパルス発生時期を制御する第一制御回
路Q2を設け、前記チヨークコイルCH1の二次
巻線a2により放電灯電流の変化を検出して放電
灯電流が一定になるように前記スイツチング素子
TRIのトリガ回路Q1のパルス発生時期を制御
する第二制御回路Q3を設けた放電灯点灯装置に
おいて、前記チヨークコイルCH1の二次巻線電
圧が一定電圧以上になつたとき前記放電灯電圧に
より設定した直流レベルを抑制するように、チヨ
ークコイルCH1の二次巻線電圧を整流平滑した
信号を、定電圧素子ZDを介して第一制御回路Q
2に印加するようにしたことを特徴とする放電灯
