開先を切欠き、仮付は組立状態のボックス柱内部の仮付
けされた各ダイヤフラムの2辺にそって形成した各柱状
空間を用いてCES溶接を行い、隅角溶接用開先部に生
じたCE8溶接溶着金属のスタート部、エンド部をアー
クエアガウジングで除去したのち、隅角部開先溶接線全
長の溶接を行ってい、各ダイヤフラムの残りの2辺はス
キンプレートを穿孔し、CESWI接をおこなっていた
。このように、隅角開先部の溶接前にCES溶接を行う
ことは、アークエアガウジングにて隅角開先を再生する
必要があり、カーボンや塵などが隅角開先部へ残存する
こととなり、これを完全に除去したあとでないと開先溶
接線の隅角溶接ができない。若し、カーボン、塵などが
開先に残存していると、これらが隅角溶接部に欠陥を生
ずる大きな原因となり、また、アークエアガウジングに
て隅角開先を再生する際に、核部にキズが生じ、このキ
ズが隅角開先溶接の欠陥としてあられれるなどの問題が
あった。

接欠陥のない信頼性の高いボックス柱を提供せんとする

の相対する辺にそって形成した各柱状空間に対応するス
キンプレート部を穿孔し、この各柱状空間を外部と導通
させる第4の工程、この外部に導通された各柱状空間を
用いてCES溶接などによりキーホール溶接を行う第5
の工程、とからなることを特徴とするものである。

ボックス柱が合理的に得られる。
