Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a magnetic head where its sliding surface is protected with a wear-resistant vapor-deposited film, by vapor-depositing a wear-resistant nonmagnetic material along edge sides of the sliding surface on a surface to be adhered to form the vapor-deposited film and coating a resin adhesive on the part where said material is not vapor-deposited and butting this magnetic head core to the other magnetic head core. CONSTITUTION:A vapor-deposition mask 3 is stuck to a surface 5 to be adhered of one magnetic head core except about 1mm width along the edge side of a surface 2, which is slid on a magnetic medium, and that of an opposite surface 2', and narrow surfaces 4 and 4' to be vapor-deposited are formed on both surfaces of the magnetic head core 1. This magnetic head core 1 is put into a vapor-depositing furnace to vapor-deposit an SiO2 to the magnetic head core 1, and narrow nonmagnetic vapor-deposited films 6 are formed along the sliding surface 2 and the opposite surface 2'. The thickness of vapor-deposited films 6 is determined by measuring the adhesion thickness of a used adhesive. The resin adhesive is coated on the surface 5 to be adhere between vapor-deposited films 6, and this surface 5 is allowed to face the sliding surface of the other magnetic head core and are butted and stuck to each other, and vapor-deposited films 6 consisting of the SiO2 are used as the spacer of a magnetic gap to adhere surfaces 5 to be adhered by the resin adhesive 7, thus forming the magnetic head.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION In a conventional magnetic recording/reproducing device, a magnetic head for recording, reproducing, and erasing is butt-bonded with a gap made of nonmagnetic material formed between two magnetic head cores. Conventionally, this adhesion has been carried out by applying a resin adhesive uniformly to the bonding surface and then butting the surfaces together, or by spraying lubricant or glass solvent onto the bonding surfaces and heat-treating the butts.

Problems to be Solved by the Invention In the conventional method using resin adhesive, magnetic head cores such as magnetic head cores such as resin and ferrite materials are required. ? Since the abrasion resistance is different, the resin adhesive layer is subject to more wear than other sliding surfaces, and there are disadvantages in that the resin adhesive layer forms groove-like gaps that trap the magnetic medium. In addition, in the method of spraying glass solvent, it takes time for heat treatment etc. for bonding, and it is difficult to uniformly fill the glass with a thin adhesive layer of several μm width per area number Qn2. The drawback is that structural glass tends to soften until it is heat-treated for bonding.

Means for Solving the Problems The present invention eliminates such drawbacks of the conventional technology and provides a magnetic gear and a thin, wear-resistant non-magnetic material on the adhesive surface of the magnetic head core along the sliding surface with the magnetic medium. The purpose of the present invention is to obtain a wear-resistant magnetic head with excellent workability using a resin adhesion method for a magnetic head core, in which a material is vapor-deposited, and then a resin adhesive is applied to the bonding surface that is not vapor-deposited, and the resin adhesive is butt-bonded.

First, as shown in FIG. 1, the adhesive surface 5 of one magnetic head core 1 is
A vapor deposition mask 3 is fixed along the sliding surface 2 with the magnetic medium and the surface 2' on the opposite side thereof, leaving a narrow width of about 1 piece width, and thin vapor deposition surfaces 4, 4 are attached to both sides of the magnetic head core 1. ′ is left. This magnetic head core 1 is placed in a vapor deposition furnace, and Si
O2K is deposited to form a thin non-magnetic deposited film 6 along the sliding surface 2 and the opposite surface 2' as shown in FIG. The thickness of the deposited film 6 is determined by measuring the adhesive thickness of the adhesive used. Further, a resin adhesive is applied to the bonding surface 5 between the vapor deposited films 6, and the sliding surfaces 2 of the other magnetic head core 1 are faced to each other, and the SIO2 is fixed.
The vapor deposited film 6 is used as a magnetic gap spacer, and the resin adhesive 7 is used as a magnetic gap spacer.
The adhesive surface 5 is bonded to form a magnetic head.

Effects of the Invention As described above, according to the present invention, in a magnetic head for a magnetic recording device for writing, reading, or erasing made of a magnetic material such as ferrite, the adhesive surfaces 5 that butt against each other to form a magnetic gap. After a non-magnetic material deposited film 6 such as Sio2 is deposited on the sliding surface 2 side, the adhesive layer is not directly on the sliding surface 2 by adhering it with resin. Therefore, the sliding surface 2 is protected by a wear-resistant vapor deposited film, and a magnetic head with excellent workability can be obtained.
