Abstract

PURPOSE:To stick securely a decorative sheet onto the outside surface of a frame by forming a plating layer and an intervening film between a coated film and decorative sheet. CONSTITUTION:A liquid prepd. by incorporating about 1-1.5 ratio epoxy vinyl modified resin and slight stabilizer into, for example, a solvent mixture is coated atop 13 the coated film 12 and is dried to form the thin transparent intervening film 14. The film 14 adheres tightly to the film 12 or the plating layer to provide the secure degree of adhesion even if the top surface 13 of the film 12 is smooth and flat. The paint prepd. by using the epoxy resin as an essential component and kneading the curing agent, pigment, metallic powder, etc. therewith is vacuum-defoamed and is coated on the film 14, then the coating is dried. Thus the film 14 connects the decorative sheet 14 and the coated film 12 or the plating layer to each other, thereby preventing the exfoliation of the sheet 10.

(Prior Art) Eyeglass frames are not only required to be functional, but also have a strong design orientation and are decorated with a wide variety of decorations. Taking the metal frames that have become the mainstream of eyeglass frames in recent years as an example, materials that are lightweight, have high tensile strength, and have spring characteristics are not only required for these properties, but also for the high design quality of the frames. desired. Furthermore, there are also designs using such metal frames that are not only designed by devising the shape, but also have colorful colors painted on a part or the entire area of the frame. However, the color 7 frame provided by painting or plating forms only a thin uniform layer of color on the outer surface of the frame and is extremely monotonous. Therefore, by attaching epoxy resin mixed with colorful pigments and metal powder to a part of the frame, such as one corner of the front frame or the outer surface of the temple, a decorative board is formed and the monotonous frame is changed. Moreover, frames that improve the image of high-quality eyeglass frames are also widely used.

By the way, in the production of this decorative board, four parts are formed at the location where the decorative board is to be attached, the bottom surface of the recess is roughened by shot, and a paint containing epoxy resin as the main component and hardening agent, pigment, metal powder, etc. is mixed in a vacuum is applied. After defoaming, it is applied to the four parts mentioned above and cured, but attaching the decorative laminate to the color frame has poor adhesion between the paint film or plating layer and the epoxy resin that makes up the decorative laminate. If the frame is bent or twisted, the veneer will peel off. but,
Shot processing for attaching a decorative board to a part of a color frame is a complicated process, increases the number of man-hours, and significantly increases the manufacturing cost of the frame.

(Problems to be Solved by the Present Invention) As described above, in order to attach a decorative laminate mainly composed of epoxy resin to a part of an eyeglass frame, it is necessary to form a recess and roughen the bottom surface of the recess. First, the roughening process described above is complicated, especially for painted or plated color frames, but if it is directly attached to the paint film or plating layer, there is a problem that the adhesion is poor and it may peel off. be.

(Means for solving the problem) As mentioned above, since epoxy resin has low adhesion with plating layers and paint films, epoxy resin can be used directly regardless of whether the outer surface is concave or roughened. If a decorative laminate is formed by applying a paint containing as a main component, an intervening film is formed between the plating layer or paint film and the decorative laminate, since the decorative laminate is easily peeled off when the eyeglass frame is bent or twisted. The intervening film not only has good adhesion to the plating layer and the paint film, but also has a strong bond with the epoxy resin, and the decorative board is firmly attached to the outer surface of the color frame through the intervening film. Here, the mixed liquid is an extremely thin film that is formed by applying the undiluted solution to the above-mentioned plating layer to which the decorative board is to be attached or the outer surface of the coating film and drying it.

Part (7) shows the manufacturing process of the decorative board (10) at the A-A cross section. First, a wire rod is press-formed into a predetermined cross-sectional shape (Noa #42), and then the outer surface (l/) is formed. is plated or painted to form a thin plating layer or paint film (12) (b). Therefore, the entire eyeglass frame becomes a colored frame having a predetermined color, and conventionally it has been used as it is. However, in the present invention, the above-mentioned liquid agent is mixed into the upper surface (/3) of the coating film (/?), i.e., about i mat of epoxy vinyl modified resin and a small amount of stabilizer in ~1.5 t'1 of mixed solvent. The liquid is applied and dried (either forced drying or natural drying) to form a kind of thin transparent intervening film. For example, a 77% mixed solvent consisting of 22% epoxy vinyl modified resin, 37% aromatic hydrocarbon solvent, 58% ketone solvent, and 5% ester solvent
A mixed solution of the present Picoton F-50H Clear (trademark), which is composed of 1% stabilizer, 65% aromatic hydrocarbon solvent, and 2 tonnes solvent, can be used to form the intervening film. The intervening film (/II) is in close contact with the coating layer II (/2) or the plating layer, and even if the upper surface (/3) of the coating film (12) is a smooth plane, the degree of adhesion is strong. In this way, on the tightly adhered intervening film (/lI), a paint containing an epoxy resin as a main component and kneaded with a curing agent, pigment, metal powder, etc. is applied after defoaming under vacuum, and is cured. Of course, self-thermal curing may be used, but since it takes time, it is more convenient to heat it to a predetermined temperature and forcibly cure it.

By the way, the decorative board (10) can be attached not only to the outer surface θ of the temple (2) but also to the connecting plate (to), one corner of the frame (b), the endpiece (7), or any other location.

As described above, the method for manufacturing the decorative glass frame board according to the present invention involves first forming the coating film (/2) or the intervening film (/2) having high adhesion with the plating layer on the outer surface of the color frame. This is a method in which the decorative board (10) is formed by applying an epoxy resin to the intervening film (/μ) after degassing in vacuum, and the unique effects described below can be obtained.
