Claims

[Scope of utility model registration request]

A keyboard in which a first key group that generates different data for each key, and a second key group that sets an input mode for the first key group;
mode saving means for holding the input mode set by the first key group; and code converting means for outputting a preset code in response to input from the first key group and the mode saving means. In the input device provided, a third key provided on the keyboard and functioning as a shift key, and an input set by simultaneous pressing of the third key and one key of the second key group. and shift key mode holding means for temporarily holding a mode, and when an input mode is set in the shift key mode holding means, the shift key mode is set in priority to the input mode held in the mode saving means. An input device characterized in that the input mode held in the holding means is controlled to be input to the code conversion means.
