Abstract

PURPOSE:To increase the mechanical strength of the title inductor as well as to contrive improvement in heat-resisting property by a method wherein the connecting terminal of a capacitor forming substrate part is made longer and protruded upward, the connecting terminal is brought to come in direct contact with the terminal electrode of a leadless capacitor by bending said terminal, and a soldering work is performed thereon. CONSTITUTION:A connecting terminal 2, which is formed in L-type by bending, is buried in such a manner that it is standing upright, and the end part of bent section is connected to the terminal electrode of the leadless capacitor 4. To be more precise, a connecting terminal 2', which is formed somewhat long in the size properly fitted in advance, is buried in the state wherein it is erected upright with its upper part protruded. Said protruded part is bent making almost a right angle, inserted into a recessed groove 3', and its end part is brought to come in contact with the terminal electrode 4a of the leadless capacitor 4. The above-mentioned contact part is formed on a soldered part 8, and the electric connection of the connecting terminal 2' and the terminal electrode 4a are finished. If the bending part of the connecting terminal 2' is formed flat, a bending work can be performed easily and the soldering work can also be simplified.

(Problems to be Solved by the Invention) As described above, in the conventional inductor with a capacitor, the leadless capacitor 4 of the capacitor part has its end electrode 4a.
Since the connection terminal 2 is connected with conductive adhesive or welding, the printed circuit board is vulnerable to attachment/detachment to the printed circuit board or other mechanical movements such as vertical movement, rotation, etc. The conductive adhesive forming the connection part 7 may peel off due to heating during soldering of the connection terminal 2 to the terminal, etc., or if the connection is made by welding with a light beam, the connection may become incomplete due to positional deviation. Alternatively, in the case of resistance welding, there is an undesirable drawback that the non-connection side end 2a of the connection terminal 2 melts. An object of the present invention is to provide an inductor with a capacitor that eliminates the drawbacks of the conventional structure as described above.

(Means for Solving the Problems) The present invention solves the above problems by elongating the connection terminals 2 of the capacitor molded base so that they protrude upward, and by bending them to form the end electrodes 4a of the leadless capacitors 4. The mechanical strength and heat resistance are maintained by soldering in direct contact with the metal.

In FIG. 1, 2' is a connecting terminal corresponding to the connecting terminal 2 in the conventional example, and other unexplained symbols refer to the same things as in FIG. 2. As is clearly indicated by the dotted line in the figure, the connection terminal 2' is first projected above the capacitor molded substrate 1, and this portion is bent as will be described later to form the end electrode 4a of the leadless capacitor 4. This is the part that comes into contact with the 3' is a recessed groove into which the bent portion of the connecting terminal 2' is fitted.

Now, when forming the capacitor molded substrate 1, the long connecting terminals 2' are sized in advance and buried upright, as described above, with the upper portions protruding. This protruding portion is bent at a substantially right angle and fitted into the recessed groove 3', with the end thereof coming into contact with the end electrode 4a of the leadless capacitor 4. The contact portion is soldered to the portion 8, and the electrical connection between the connection terminal 2' and the end electrode 4a is completed. It should be noted that if the bending portion of the connecting terminal 2' is formed flat as shown in FIG. 1(B), it will be easier to bend and also easier to solder.

After connecting the connecting terminal 2' and the end electrode 4a, as in the conventional case, the inductor part, which has a coil 6 wound around a magnetic core 5, is fixed to the upper part of the capacitor forming board as shown in Fig. 1(C). Thus, the inductor with capacitor of the present invention is completed.

(Effects of the Invention) As is clear from the above detailed explanation using one embodiment, the present invention provides an inductor with a capacitor in which the end electrode of the leadless capacitor is directly connected to the extension of the connection terminal. Because of this, it is clear that the connection is mechanically strong and has sufficient thermal resistance, so it can be of great benefit in practical use.
