Abstract

PURPOSE:To switch smoothly to a new channel without the interruption of a continued talking by connecting an existing channel with a mobile device to the new channel via the 3-party channel after the existing channel passes through the 3-party channel equipment provided to an automatic exchange. CONSTITUTION:A mobile device 4 within the communication range of a radio equipment 2-1 is in talking with a subscriber accommodated in an automatic exchange 1 via a radio line 6-1, a talking line 3-1 and a channel P-1 in a network NW11. When a mobile device 1 moves within the communication range of a radio equipment 2-2 from the communication range of the equipment 2-1, the equipment 2-1 detects the movement through the reduction in the reception level and requests changeover to the exchange 1. The exchange 1 selects the lines 6-2, 3-2 of the equipment of the adjacent communication range, sets channels P-2, P-3 in the NW11, releases the P-1 to detour the channel between the subscriber 5 and the mobile device through the 3-party channel equipment 12, further a channel P-4 is set to connect the line 3-2 to the device 12. Then the exchange 1 switches the line of the mobile device 4 to the device 2-2, to set a channel P-5 and to release the P-2-P-4.

A telephone device installed on a mobile body such as a ship or a car (hereinafter referred to as a mobile device) can communicate with other telephone devices via a wireless link between the wireless device and the wireless device whose communication range is the respective sea area or area. A communication path is set between the two parties, and the communication is carried out via the communication path. When moving from the communication range of such a mobile device to another communication range, the currently communicating wireless line is switched to a wireless line within the destination communication range, and a call is made via the communication path via the switched wireless line. It is necessary to continue.

In FIG. 2, a network 11 of an automatic exchange 1 accommodates wireless devices 2-1 and the like having different communication ranges via communication lines 3-1 and the like. The mobile device 4 within the communication range of all the wireless devices 2-1 is connected to the automatic exchange 1.
A wireless line 6 is connected to a general subscriber 5 accommodated in
-1, a call is in progress via a call path including the call line 3-1 and the call path pl within the network 11. In this state, when the mobile device 4 moves from the communication range of the wireless device 2-1 to the communication range of another wireless device 2-2, the wireless device 2-1
detects the transition when the reception level of the wireless line 6-1 falls below a predetermined value, and transmits a switching request signal to the automatic exchange 1 via the telephone line 3-1. The automatic exchange 1 that received the switching request signal is a wireless device whose communication range is adjacent to that of the wireless device 2-1! 2-2 etc., the level monitoring request signal is transmitted via the telephone line 3-2 etc. The wireless device 2-2, etc. that received the level monitoring request signal,
The reception level of the wireless line 6-1 is monitored and the monitoring result is reported to the automatic exchange 1. The automatic exchange 1 is connected to each wireless device 2-
The reception levels reported from the second and other devices are compared, and the communication range of the wireless device (for example, 2-2) that has reported the maximum reception level is determined to be the transfer destination, and the vacant wireless line 6- is routed through the wireless device 2-2. 2 and call line 3-2. Thereafter, the automatic exchange 1 transmits a switching signal from the wireless line 6-1 to the wireless line 6-2 to the mobile device 4 via the wireless device 2-1. The mobile device 4 that has received the switching signal switches the wireless port 16-1, which is currently in use, to the wireless line 6-2. Next, the automatic switch operator releases the communication path p1 within the network I1, sets up a communication path p2, and connects the subscriber 5 to the communication line 3-2. As described above, the mobile device 4 and the subscriber 5 are connected to the newly set wireless line 6-2, call line 3-2, and call path p2.
Continuing the call via the call path that includes.

In FIG. 1, a mobile device 4 within the communication range of a wireless device 2-1 communicates with a subscriber 5 accommodated in an automatic exchange 1 in a wireless diagram %16-1. It is assumed that a call is in progress via a call path including the call line 3-1 and the call path p1 within the network 11. In this state, the mobile device 4 is connected to the wireless device 2-1.
When the wireless device 2-1 shifts from the communication range of the other wireless device 2-2 to the communication range of the other wireless device 2-2, the wireless device 2-1 detects the transition due to a decrease in the reception level and transmits a switching request signal to the automatic exchange 1. The automatic exchange 1 that has received the request signal transmits the level monitoring request signal to the wireless device 2-2, etc. that has an adjacent communication range as described above, and receives the level monitoring request signal from the wireless device 2-2, etc. on the wireless line 6-1. Based on the level monitoring result, a wireless device (for example, 2-2) having a transfer destination communication range is determined, and an empty wireless line 6-2 and a call line 3-2 via the wireless device 2-2 are selected.

and p3, the communication path p1 is released, and the communication path set between the subscriber 5 and the mobile device 4 is routed through the three-party communication path device 12. Further, the automatic exchange 1 sets a communication path p4 within the network 11 and connects the zero-talk line 3-2 to the three-party communication path device 12. In such a state, the mobile device 4 connects via either of the wireless lines 6-1 and 6-2.
It becomes possible to communicate with the subscriber 5 via the three-party communication path device 12. In this state, the automatic exchange 1 transmits a switching signal from the wireless line 6-1 to the wireless line 6-2 to the mobile device 4 via the wireless device 2-1. The mobile device 4 that has received the switching signal switches the wireless line 6-1, which is currently in use, to the wireless line 6-2. Thereafter, the mobile device 4 and the subscriber 5 continue to communicate through a new communication path including the wireless line 6-2, the communication line 3-2, the communication path p4, the three-party communication path device 12, and the communication path p2.

It should be noted that FIG. 1 is merely one embodiment of the present invention, and for example, the configuration of the automatic exchange 1 is not limited to that shown in the figure, and many other modifications may be considered. In this case, the effects of the present invention remain the same. Furthermore, the object of the present invention is not limited to mobile communication systems, and can be applied to many other applications, such as a telephone network that aims to make effective use of lines by dynamically rearranging lines during a call. Although the following modifications are considered, the effects of the present invention remain unchanged in either case.
